Putting a hand to his head and rubbing, Kaden let out another breath, wanting to keep his anger inside but it was coming out slightly. “I won’t hurt you again…I told you I regret that.” Kaden then clenched his jaw, hearing him speak of his life being better before.
“I didn’t say you had to stay. If you really miss it, then go ahead, leave.” Kaden said in a low voice, clearly not being committed to that sentence. In truth, he really didn’t want Deiru to leave forever but…how could Kaden tell a grown adult to stay? And why would he need to now? It seemed as though Deiru was much better than before, and even if he went back to killing, that would be his decision ultimately, not Kaden’s.
Wanting to just grab Deiru and tell him how stupid he was being, to show him just how much he actually appreciated his company, Kaden just decided to keep his mouth shut. He didn’t think Deiru would believe him anyways, besides, Deiru seemed to be feeding off of his anger, so increasing it would only make everything worse.
