Dunkel smiled back before he turned to look around. The manor was indeed gloomy, almost no color that was bright and welcoming. The curtains were also dark to block out any sunlight that would dare come in. He watched as the house-keeping staff were scattering to finish their jobs before leaving as they were asked, so as not to risk any of them witnessing or hearing what was about to happen.
