The axis powers' annual meeting had come round once again and the venue of choice was this time decided by Italy. The choice was made by a different member each time, for they had a habit of squabbling over the most insignificant of things - it really was for the best.

Italy was always unappreciative of other countries' foods, and was often over-excited when the meetings could be held in his hometown. Consequently, however, his excitement often tired him out and as he stepped off the plane, he was an unsettling mix of excited and jet-lagged.

Looking at his watch reassured Italy that he could soon get some rest. "Thirty minutes! And then I can have my 3PM siesta!" he beamed, jumping into the back of the car that arrived to collect him. Upon arriving at the hotel, Italy hastily made his way to the receptionist "My companion, Ludwig, should be here shortly! Please tell him I've already arrived!".

In his hurried state, Italy failed to notice a booking error which had meant a single room had been booked. Oblivious, he dashed up the stairs and into the room, threw his bag across the lounge, flew into the only bedroom, stripped himself naked and dived straight into the bed.

"3PM exactly... Ve" he yawned as he drifted off to sleep.
