The questions Casey were asking were all valid. He didn't blame either of them for their hostility. After all, how was someone supposed to believe that he was a vampire? The fact that neither of them was trying to kill him right now was already shocking enough to Jonas. Everything he had heard about humans finding out about vampires ended up with the vampires dead. He had always thought that there were humans who would understand their troubles, but his parents and the rest of the vampire community seemed to think it was impossible. Turning his attention to Casey, he extended his fangs out once again. "I can't take a little from an animal or a human. I have to take all of it. If I don't, they'll turn into a vampire." Jonas pressed the tip of his finger against his fangs and held it out. It was very lightly damp at the tip. "My fangs are covered in my saliva. Whenever I bite something, naturally some of my saliva will remain around the wound. If I leave any blood inside whatever my victim is, my saliva would be introduced to their bodies, and the regenerative properties from my genes would kick in and restore the person to full health. The only difference being that they have vampire DNA inside of them." Jonas explained.

"Vampire DNA is extremely reproductive. Once introduced into a body, it would quickly introduce the vampire genetics into the person's DNA, thus turning them into a vampire." He added. "So if I take a little from a victim, they will become vampires, and I can't let that happen. It's been centuries since there's been a vampire born from a bite. They wouldn't know how to control their senses or their blood lust." It was a long explanation to a simple question, but Jonas had to make sure the two teens understood just how dire his situation was. "As for transfusions, there are a couple problems with that. Securing a bag of blood would be extremely difficult. They have cameras covering blood banks and hospitals." He told them, as if he knew from experience. "Secondly, I couldn't bring myself to take one. Innocent people need that blood to survive. Even though I have harmed innocent people in the past, I don't want to do it now. Not when I have control over my decisions." He told them.

Finally, after he thought he had finished explaining himself, he let out a loud sigh. On one hand, it was good to finally reveal his secret to someone. On the other hand, doing that put two innocent people in jeopardy because they know his secret. Whether or not Casey or Quin liked it, he was going to stay true and protect them from whatever harm he put them in. "Thank you Quin, for your hospitality. I will leave as soon as I find a safe place." He said. There was a lot to think about. Where would be a safer place to live? Who was the man following him? How was he going to find out who that man was? It was all a lot more stress than Jonas was used to dealing with. "Can one of you show me to the shower? I need to clear my mind and think some things over." He asked.
