"How many more left?"
"I'd say twenty."
Sighing deeply, Jesse nodded his head as he looked up at he ceiling, talking into his old flip phone with his legs kicking out past the couch.
"Alright. Maybe I'll work on it, if not...I'll talk to you in a few days. See you at work."
Saying goodbye to his friend, Jesse flipped the cell shut and turned over onto his stomach, laying his head on his warm pillow and looking around the room. He had just gotten home after his part-time job, still struggling to find a real one after high school. It wasn't easy, especially when he had barely any financial help to get into college, the one he'd been wanting to go to for years.
Deeply sighing, Jesse decided to head up to his bedroom, passing by his parents room just in time to hear the discussing work as per usual.
He had no siblings. Instead he had two very workaholic parents who barely spent much time with him, unless it was during the summer where they had one 'Family Day' experience. Even that wasn't enough. Friends weren't very plentiful, in fact the only one he had was at his work, and even that idiot was pretty sad. Smoking pot and having sex seemed to be the only things he had an interest in.
Laying down onto his bed, Jesse kicked off his shorts and slipped his thin shirt off, leaving himself in his tight briefs while pulling his blue blanket overtop of him. For a moment, Jesse really just wished his life was different. It was so boring, difficult, he nearly dreaded going to work tomorrow and having people mistaken him for a child, or a young girl.
Rubbing his forehead, Jesse looked up at the ceiling, his mind hazed with fatigue and contemplations. If only his life were different...then maybe he'd be happier.
Within a few minutes, Jesse's green eyes slid shut, his mind drifting off until all that was in his head were dreams that clouded his judgement.
