Gideon walked into the kitchen and pulled out the steak from the freezer, ripping open the packaging with ease as he placed them on the table. He went into the pantry to pull out everything he needed to season the steak when he could hear his sons talking upstairs. Was that what Nathen was worried about? Losing his virginity? He wanted nothing more than to tell his son that his first time should be with someone he cared about, not just someone random, but he knew better than to intrude on their conversation. Things like this were better off discussed between siblings. Gideon could never imagine talking to his father about such things, he would only expect Nathen would think the same.

"You know I'm always honest with you. Even if I wasn't, you always seem to know when I'm lying." Zach said as he took a seat next to his brother. When he heard the question, Zach couldn't help but blush. He had to tell his brother the truth. It wasn't the whole truth, but it was the truth. "It's definitely not wrong. Everyone goes at their own pace. I didn't lose my virginity until I was 18." There was no way in hell he was going to tell his brother that he lost it to their father. "You'll lose it when you lose it Nathen. Don't rush it, okay?" Zach said with a cheery smile. When he heard about the trouble at school, Zach was getting ready to scold his brother, but when he heard what he did, he smiled. "That's my little bro! Kicking ass and taking names!" He put his brother in a headlock and gave him a noogie.

He was throwing a bit of salt and pepper onto the first steak when he heard something else. He heard a growl. Not a human pretending to growl like a dog or wolf, but an actual growl. At first, he thought for sure it was just Zach, growling at hearing his brother was being picked on, but he knew his beta's growl. It was ingrained in his heart. No, this...this one was new. "No..." Gideon muttered to himself. It couldn't be. He thought for sure the lycan genes had skipped Nathen. Were they finally coming out of dormancy? It would make sense. It was around this time that Zach started feeling the symptoms as well.
