Footsteps.

He could hear them approaching; not in many numbers, but enough to be considered a potential threat. From above, Leo stilled himself while observing the people who were passing by, careful not to make any unnecessary sounds. Although he has been in this profession for a while, and he was pretty damn sure he had the skills to avoid stupid blunders that a novice would make, it never really hurts to be too careful.
Voices were heard, most were just incoherent mumblings and whatnot but it wasn’t important anyways. His mission was to target his enemy and kill him and that was it, no questions asked. It was how he was brought up to act and he sure wasn’t going to change any time soon. Scanning the group of people that assembled a distance away from where he perched up on the tree, Leo tried to make out the faces to see if any matched his target. The day was getting late, so the quicker he could find the enemy, the quicker he could get back to headquarters and rest. It had been a long day and he wasn’t about to prolong this assassination any longer.

After a few moments, he saw the group of people disperse, leaving the sole man he had been looking for out in the open. A smirk etched on his face as he pulled out a dagger from his belt, gripping it tightly. Perfect opportunity to strike and he was not going to let this chance slip at all.

Without another word, Leo swiftly jumped of the tree and quickly dashed towards the man, the knife pointed directly at the neck and his eyes showing no mercy.
