His heart thudded loudly in his chest, hand gripping the shirt that covered it, fear and panic filling his being as he held his breath. One hand placed over his mouth to keep the light sigh like whines from being heard. He might have wanted to go fight, help his people...but he still was a childish man, the age of 18 was young, even in his village. He wasn't sure what he should do. Alex just waited, his mind slowly going over the steps of setting the signal for the other folks to run...All he would have to do is flip the power switch, (the main power will shot off and the escape lights will come on. That way when or if the others who invaded ever did get into the room, they wouldn't think about flipping the switch off to see...
Hearing the cracking sound of a door busting upon, fallowed by gun shots, Alex took a moment to allow fear to fill him completely before heading over and doing what he was to do, lights off, trap rocks sliding back down into place, creating a natural wall, the should had been mostly over covered by the gun shots, (the main reason he had to move fast...) with that done, he slid down the far wall, away from the trap which held a hidden door(a trick to lead the men to the middle of no where should they take it.) His hands wrapping around his legs as he held himself into a tight ball, waiting...wondering.
When the sounds of scuffs stopped, he looked up, the feet of the men above having stopped. His face hinted fear and sorrow as he wondered if they'd given up...before there was a crunch...They'd found the door, swallowing slightly, Alex waited, his body shaking slightly as he set as still as he could, watching the trapped door as he was pulled open, his topaz gaze staring right up at, who he figured, to be the commander of the arm. His mouth pressed tightly together as he waited, unsure of what they would do to him. He wasn't a child anymore, but he wasn't completely a man.
