Gabriel was shocked by the embrace, but he did slowly and gradually return it. He wrapped his arms around the small, fragile form of the boy who clung to him. Elliot would wait for him. For some reason, that made Gabriel's heart actually beat harder. Elliot would wait for him until the day he died, and Gabriel mentally promised to keep coming to these gatherings...just to see Elliot. Only for Elliot. No other pets mattered anymore. "Elliot...if I could take you away from this place, I would...you know that...don't you?" Gabriel asked softly.
