Alexander was immediately taken aback.
He hadn't believed it possible that the memory restoration process would occur so swiftly and so smoothly, or that he would ever enjoy this sort of conversation with Ashley again.
This wasn't quite enough to stop him teasing Ashley however.
"Oh. Don't worry. You're not going back in the box. You're much too noisy. Perhaps I should just gag you and tie you up somewhere?" replied Alexander with a wink
"And this 'Creaky old house' is worth more than you'll make in your life, thank you very much!" He smiled gently, not wanting to tease too much.
He studied Ashley's face carefully and found no ill thoughts there, just the usual, adorable indignation.
Although he did look rather pale.
"Hrm. Are you hungry? I could try making you French toast... You still like that, right?" he ventured.
