I didn't say it was pain, I said it looks like pain... also, i still think most, not all, japanese (!) women identify with the uke characters.
One thing I'm not, is prejudiced (that really hurt my feelings

). The fact is, that the stereotypical uke, has so many "girly" characteristics, that it's difficult to say that the (female) author, doesn't create them for identification purposes. In the end, the woman that'll read the manga, will identify with both characters, sure, because this guyxguy love, becomes ideal and for some women a "love model"... of course some women like the guyxguy action xD .
I'm sure, there are many cases of women, I don't have a survey with me to know them all. So don't be prejudiced, about someone else's prejudices xD
