Jason took a long sip of his drink, as he lounged in the school canteen. There was a half hour break between classes, and he usually spent the time relaxing in the canteen, all alone with a refreshing drink and no one to disturb him with useless chatter. Of course, when the class loner decides to take a break and survey the multitude of cute guys gathered in the school canteen, he wouldn't want conversation to distract him!

Except that for the last few months, it wasn't just a large crowd of hot boys that captured his attention during breaks. It was one face in the multitude. Jason had deliberately chosen a bench behind a pillar, so that he could feast on delicious snacks while feasting his eyes on the object of his affection.

At the far end of the canteen, a gorgeous young man was casually seated on a ledge, and surrounded by babbling young boys and adoring young girls. Everything from his hair to his eyes to his smile to his posture exuded and air of effortless popularity. Jason suppressed a small smile. He himself would never follow the guy along with the rest of his 'fanclub', even though he wanted a piece as badly as the others.

"Hey Jason!" came a friendly shout accompanied by a slap on the back. Startled, Jason looked up into the familiar face of his best friend Scott. Who coincidentally also happened to be the younger brother of the popular young stud who was being showered with attention in the canteen.

"I see you're hiding out again today," said Scott in a friendly manner as he sat down on the same bench, grabbed Jason's sandwich and took a huge bite out of it. "So... Whom are you checking out today, hmmm?"

Jason shrugged and smiled. "Nothing really, Scott. Was just checking out the new lunch menu. Have you tasted - "

Even before he could finish asking his best friend about the new coleslaw sandwiches, Scott got distracted and started waving wildly at someone, while chewing mouthfuls.

"Big bro's coming over to say hello," said Scott smiling, "I guess he wanted a tiny break from all those fans!"
