It was still pretty early, when Dan got up in a hurry, to go to the market. It was one of his many daily chores, because his parents were away most of the time, on business. So it was his job to look after everything while they were gone.
Plus he had to go to work every Saturday, at a local antique shop. Then there was college and all the running around, during week days. The only free time he had was on Sundays, and he'd spend them at home, watching TV, because there was simply nothing else to do. He had no friends, but then again wasn't a very outgoing young man to begin with.
He rushed to make his bead, then went to the bathroom, to wash and dress. He had so many things to do before gong to work, he figure he'd barely have time to take a leak. So many things to do, and so little time. That, unfortunately was the curse of being an only child.
