"Dude, no need to be so formal" Tyler said, a friendly grin stretching across his face. "Call me Ty. I should probably give you a nickname too. Hmm..." Ty stroked his chin, pondering what to call him. "Oh! Let's call you Nic, if that's fine with you." Ty looked at Nicolae to see if he liked the idea, but to him the boy still looked confused. "You're probably tired from that long-ass flight you had, let's head back to the dorm. I'll give you the basics on the way there."

The boys headed towards the dorm, taking in the sights as you go. "Yeah, Brookwood is a pretty scenic place. It's not like the rest of the city, where it's all buildings and barely and grass. I like to think of Brookwood as the perfect balance between nature and man" Ty was referencing the fact that the campus was not only filled with buildings, but with lush greenery.
There were tall, looming trees of many varieties: oak, pine, even a few willows, all in full blossom as they embraced the smooth summer air, allowing their branches to sway gently in the breeze. The grass was tall and somehow luminous beneath the sunset. There were bundles of students scattered across the area, some studying, some singing songs, and others just hanging out.

The boys walked further up the pavement, a big, wooden bulletin board entering their sights. "I guess this should be your first stop," Ty knocked on the big bulletin board, "this is the student activities board. Here, you can find out about all of the latest events happening around school, from special lectures, to pep rallies to school games. But, the most important of them all, the parties." There were dozens among dozens of fliers posted on the board, some requesting a tutor, others informing the students about the new job positions in the cafeteria. "Whenever you're bored, you should definitely check this board out, it totally helps." He looked to see if Nicolae was taking all of this information in. Ty figured it might have been too much for the state he was in.
