David jumped at Elias's voice. He hadn't heard the man come in after him. "By the sea Elias!" he said, grabbing his chest to calm his heart. "You almost sent me to the Locker!" His father had already told him he shouldn't say things like that sense he couldn't shake his "gentleboy's tongue". It made him sound like a child at play.
Montagne growled as he faced off with two of Hawthorne's men. His sheer size made this and even match. The fact he was trained in two different types of combat made only their captain a true challenge for him. "HAWTHORNE!" he yelled as he cut one down. "SHOW YOUR FACE COWARD! LET'S END THIS LIKE MEN."
