Toushiro was caught off guard by the hug, but he enjoyed it. He embraced the hug, wrapping his arms around the taller individual, but then he pulled back. No, he couldn't get attached to people. They would only end up hurting him, they always did. Toushiro looked up at Ichigo, tears in his eyes as he forced himself to walk away from someone who might have genuinely cared for him.
But he couldn't take that chance. He backed away from Ichigo as he ran for the door, running down the staircase as tears flew from his eyes.
