They made their way to the training center. That was where they were supposed to meet the rest of team 8. A few minutes passed, and both boys were silent Nehemiah Kiba's team came through, they explained to each other the mission and the objective that was at hand. Shino questioned Naruto's appearance, but he later disregarded it. Hinata merely greeted the boy with a now and a proper honorific, making Kiba tousle her hair in a playful manner.

The day had passed, and nightfall was creeping up. Halfway through the woods, Kiba - and Shino stopped the team. Kiba wanted to keep moving on out, but Shino played the advisor of the group and recommended that they make camp for the night.

"There could be enemies," Shino said. "We don't want to stumble into a trap."

"Pfft. Hello! Are you forgetting about mine and Akamaru's sense of of smell," Kiba called out, patting his dog's head. "And what about Hinata and her byakugan?"

"No, I haven't forgotten," Shino said simply. "It's still better to play it safe. Regardless, it'll take us two days to arrive at the land of rivers. Let's not go wasting any chakra. it's better to rest now and continue in the morning."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Kiba groaned. "Let's set up camp."

Shino had his own tent set up, as well as Hinata. Naruto made the excuse that he had forgotten his, and so, coincidentally, the blond and Kiba were forced to share a tent.

When they were inside and some time had passed, making sure that the other two were asleep in their own respected tents, Kiba snuggled close to Naruto and pressed his body ontop of his, kissing him first on his forhead and then his lips.

"Naruto, you ready for your first task on this mission," Kiba said with a cocky grin, making Naruto jumble his brows in curiosity. Kiba then unzipped his fly, and it all made sense. "Careful. This is S-rank! Your enemy just took a solider pill, and you can't make any noise."
