Shikamaru was correct. Naruto was gay, but that only raised more questions. Did Naruto even know what being gay meant? Shikamaru decided not to confuse the boy even further and made the decision not to talk about Naruto's sexuality just yet. Truth be told, Shikamaru had only just discovered he was bisexual, and it took him, a genius, a very long time to figure it out completely. Who knows how long it would take Naruto to come to terms with that.
Instead, Shikamaru tried to gauge how much Naruto knew about the topic. "So do you even know what sex is? Or what makes people want to have sex?" Shikamaru asked.
