I really didn't want to, but I made my resolve just now, didn't I? I couldn't go back on my word. No, I wouldn't.
I let out a breath and out my book down. It was a belong chalet anyway. Turns out she was just teasing the poor ol' boy. What a bitch, right?
I shrug my shoulders and say, "why not?," before I get up and take a stance. I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm already laughing and having a little bit of fun.
"As long as you promise not to hurt me or tear any of my muscles, I'm game," I tell him, egging him on as I add, "Then again..., after seeing what you benched, I shouldn't be all that worried."
I flash him another smile and give him a look that let's him know too-damn-well that the game is on.
