Mephisto held Julian's gaze, waiting for the inevitable. Despite his warning he fully expected the man to be alarmed and tried to escape. If he wasn't too scared to move that is. To his surprise though Julian simply sat up, rubbed his eyes, and smiled at Mephisto. He seemed completely unfazed, like there wasn't a strange humanoid creature kneeling next to his bed in the middle of the night.

He wasn't sure whether or not Julian's lack of response was due to him just waking up, but he decided to proceed, this was going to be a lot easier if Julian remain composed. "Simple things like that cannot keep me out." he laughed "Any place that contains shadows is accessible to me." He stood up and climbed on top of the bed, his movements smooth and graceful.

"And as for why I am here tonight, the answer is You. I am here to take you." he said vaguely. Mephisto's eyes glowed with his excitement, two yellow points of light in the darkness.
