Lucifer pretended to reach for a bowl of candy, only to grab at nothing. "Oh. I must have forgotten to pour out the candy. Let me go get you some." Lucifer began to walk into his house before turning around to face the cat-boy again. "You can wait inside. I won't bite." Lucifer smiled, this time not mischievously, but friendly. He turned back around and headed into his kitchen. "Close the door please, I have the heating on and I don't want the hot air to escape."
Lucifer got inside of his kitchen and pulled out a sack of apples and some home made caramel. He laid them out on his counter. "Crap." Lucifer said out loud, audible enough that the boy could hear him from his kitchen. He walked back out with a kind smile on his face. "Sorry, I was supposed to hand out candied apples, but the batch I made is horrible. I'm going to make a new batch now and it might take awhile." Then, being the brilliant actor he was, Lucifer continued to lie to the kid. "If you'd like, you can come and watch some tv while it cooks, or you can just leave if you'd like." Lucifer said, sounding disappointed while mentioning the kid choosing to leave. "It's your choice." Lucifer added before heading off to the kitchen again.
