Jin entered his house and gave a sigh. How could he have ever forgotten - The Chess Club meeting had been cancelled today. Then again, when you had an extraciricular activity every day of the week, you eventually slipped up. Not a big deal, anyway. He was 13 and could simply walk home. He wondered if Kyle was home...... Nah, probably not. He was so popular. He was likely on another date.
He tucked a longish strand of black hair behind his ear and adjusted his glasses. Yeah, Kyle was the cool one, and he was the little one. Kyle was the daring one, and he was a goody two shoes. It was a wonder they got along so well. In fact, they were kinda best friends. He sat down at the table to begin his homework.
