Lorien had noticed the change in Cale. It was only slight but something was definitely off. He had gotten used to his role in taking care of the egg while Cale hunted. Even now he was laying next to egg while the Harpy was resting. This gave him time to think about what could be wrong with Cale. Was the loss of his mate still hurting him? Was it Lorien's fault? He was taking the role that a mate should have been taking care of. However, Lorien wasn't Cale's mate. He was just a Human who had made a deal with the Harpy.
