Because that's the time of Saint Nicholas. He comes by boat from Spain together with his black little helpers called 'Black Petes' who throw around typical candy for this year. Children sing songs and they get gifts on the 5th of December. There are al ot of traditions such as hiding a present in a self-made thing of interest of your friends or family. I really love the food of this year.
We also celebrate Christmas on the 25th and 26th, just without the gifts because we get them on the 5th already. Together with New Year's celebration this makes December a month full of holidays

Christmas because I get to hang out with family members I don't see often, and maybe because of the presents

Halloween!!! ^_^ It's fun to dress up and I love horror movies. I did a sexy take on a male version of a succubus (an incubus I believe it's called?) one year, which is probably my favorite costume to date

I am not pretentious, but I'd say Christmas, because first of all I find winter and cold weather pretty comfortable, cozy and perfect weather to spend a great time hugged together with your gf/bf (cuddle, drinking warm tea/milk, spending the time together, sitting on the sofa watching favorite movies, laughing together, *kissing... , even through some of the coldest days going outside to play in the snow, or to go to a restaurant. So to say Winter holidays are helluva romantic. <3

Christmas because that's the time I get to spend the most with my family since everyone's on break or off of work.
