daystar began the exchange of his story about living with a nomadic den of foxes, and how they had separated one winter over an old feud. Being torn by each side proclaiming their rightness he ended up venturing on his own. Daystar then realized shae was the first he had ever shared this with. Something about him just made Daystar open up.
"anyways, here I am." he concluded quickly.
He began to feel a chill falling. Was it dusk already?

Vanya lay on a nearby branch up in a tree, watching the scene below him. The swift mountain lion's tail twitched in frustration as his prey was joined by a lone wolf. Vanya, his keen amber eyes glowing in dim light of dusk, knew he was invisible to the unique pair and could easily ambush them. And this fox looked so tasty. However, the wolf was complicating things. Two against one would be difficult, even for the husky mountain lion; not to mention that wolves usually traveled in packs...his family could be close by.

Vanya sighed and lay his furry chin on his folded paws; his tail still swished through the air angrily. He couldn't help but notice that the river water coating their fur, glinted sweetly in the sun's last rays. Always having an eye for detail, Vanya noticed such things and he grinned slightly at the pretty sight.

As his stomach growled, though, he was reminded of his purpose and he watched hungrily as the wolf hung his newly-caught trout on a branch...Perhaps some deft thievery would be the best option. He mused on it for a while.

But no...thwarted by indecision, Vanya lay on his branch, always watching and never being seen, as the two new companions conversed. The stealthy mountain lion knew, however, that it was only a matter of time before he made his appearance.

Shae listened to the fox's story, observing how he became so comfortable with a stranger. Could it be because he was so young and didn't seem like a threat? He figured that wasn't very important. This WAS the very first person he had talked to sense he'd left home. It felt good to be in the company of another. The only down fall was he was still more or less a pup, by time Daystar's story was through, Shae had already started playing with his tail. Slightly batting at it and biting it whenever it started to wag. When he heard the silents of his new friend no longer speaking he quickly looked up.

"oh,...well...uh...I-It appears that we've been talking up until about sunset." He laughed. noticing the chill, he stiffly got up and prepared a fire for the both of them. "Lets go ahead a cook the fish. We don't want it going bad or anything." he smile cutting up the fish and positioning it on stick by the fire.
"when there done just help yourself." He said before laying down under the tree were the fish once hung. He was kinda tired. It had been a long day of traveling, fishing, and meeting new people. It was time for a little rest.

He glanced back over at Daystar, looking over his fur and body features. As the fire dance across his figure Shae stared to daydream. (He really is a pleasant thing to look at. Not like the rough looking wolves that I've seen. He has a softer look to him. Like something you want to reach out and touch...) He thought to himself letting his light green eye stare on at the fox in the mist of his daydreaming.

Yujin muttered something under his breath, cursing his family since they'd just left him there alone without telling him where they went. He sighed, slowly wandering through the forest. His fuzzy bunny ears twitching as he heard a river running. Maybe he should try following that river, then again.. What would he find. Shaking his head, the white haired male carefully made his way over to the river, sitting down on a rock next to it. "Great.." He breathed out. "Now what?" He asked to no one.

Vanya licked his large canines hungrily as he smelled a newcomer. His ears perked up and his head twitched from side to side as he searched for the sight of whatever it was he smelled...a hare perhaps? Maybe Vanya could abandon his idea of the fox and wolf in turn for this more...tasty treat. His tail swished angrily though as he thought of leaving his vantage point - the fox and wolf looked tasty, too, especially in the firelight. He was loathe to leave his branch yet his stomach rumbled in the night.

Hissing furiously, he leapt to the ground, his padded feet making barely a sound in the night. He was still unsure of which he desired most: stealing the trout; preying on the fox and wolf; or embarking on a venture to hunt this new smell. His mouth watered with all three options circling around in his head.

Shae's ears perk up at sound of a tree rustling not to for from the camp. He doesn't move, but his ears turn in the direction of the noise. (What was that?) He thought to himself as he sniffed the air. (...It smells like a cat..) The frowned. He never had liked felines, but there was nothing much he could do seeing as he was one lone pup without a pack. He'd surely lose if a fight broke out. Instead he curd in an even tighter ball of fluff and wrap his tail around his body. In this position no one could tell head and from tail and it was very warm. He could just see past his tail over at daystar who appeared to be dozing off.
