Messy housekeeper [private for me and Ybfan]

"Unfortunately, we can not have children. But we have a good marriage, and adoptive son, who is very attached to us so I think we had a lot of luck, after all," said Jane with a warm smile.
"Yes I think so too. You are sooo lucky to have me", joked Patrick and laughed when Thomas snorted to that.

"He is someone to be proud of..." Daniel trails of as he gets a little sidetracked for a few moments. "Did they say how long you will be in the hospital, Mr. Thomas?"

"Yea. Right", laughed Patrick.
"If everything will be ok in three days. Why are you asking?"
"Yes. I'm actually curious too", said Jane, looking at Daniel just as other two.

In a flustered motion he waves his hands in front of himself. "Sorry, I ask so I know what I need to do with the landscaping and such. Also if Patrick is not against it, a hearty home cooked meal at the residence may be nice as well."

"Why would I ever be against it. Besides if I would even try Thomas would have my head on his plate", said Patrick. "It's a very good idea, Daniel."
"But remeber it must be healthy because Thomas is on the diet after the stroke", added Jane with a warm smile. "And you are a sweatheart for thinking about it."

Blushing slightly at the compliment, Daniel smiled and rubbed the back of his head shyly. "Shucks you guys are making me blush," Daniel chuckled as he looked at Jane and Thomas. "Anything specific he can and can't have or do I have free reign?"

"Doctor said he should eat whole grains and to choose often nutrient-rich dark green and orange vegetables and remember to regularly eat dried beans and peas. Also fruits, low-fat or fat-free dairy foods, or a variety of non-dairy calcium-rich foods each day, low-fat or lean meats, poultry and to remember to vary choices with more beans, peas, nuts, seeds and fish sources. In terms of fats fish, nuts and vegetable oils. Ah.. and to limit fat sources from butter, stick margarine, shortening or lard. I think thats all", said Jane, making Thomas and Patrick laught.
"You have an excellent memory as always", sighed her husband. "I remembered only about fish and nuts."
"Good you have me, don't you think?"
"As always", laughed Thomas.
"So as you see Daniel you have one hell of a job. You still want to cook for him?", asked Patrick with smile.

Daniel laughed as well when she qouted her husbands dietary needs and nodded to Patricks question. "I have an idea already for dinner and a dessert. I think we will have a grand time," smiled Daniel happily as he began to plot the menu.

"Housewife, housekeeper.. It's all the same with you. I bet if I would shut you in the kitchen with my cats you wouldn't ever want to go out from there", joked Patrick, shaking his head.

"Ah! Thank you for reminding me, the kittens loved the homemade food I made and we need to ask the butchers if they have any breast and rib bones that they didn't throw away," Daniel interjected rather quickly and looked at Patrick with big eyes.
