Daniel and Paul were able to calm themselves down as they began to eat their ice cream as well. "Better start eating it before it starts melting," said Paul as he poked Patrick's cheek.

Patrick was happy he invited Paul. Now when he thought about it it occured to him that they last saw each other like that two months ago.

"You're still a good friend don't worry about it," said Paul as he used one of his innate abilities that he detested for the longest time until he learned to control it. With physical contact he could pick up surface thoughts and sure he had a couple of tricks up his sleeve, but didn't use them. Plus the picking up on Patrick's thought was by accident, he was too relaxed and stiffened back up a little and put his barriers back in check.

Patrick looked at Paul a bit surprised and then actually blushed. It wasn't like he didn't know about his friends abilities but still it was really embarrassing for someone to know his thoughts. Even if that someone was his best friend.
"G-good to hear that", he said, trying to get a grip of himself.

Daniel watched the two of them and asked a very honest and open question. "Were you two lovers at one point as well?"

The question made Paul choke on the melting ice cream as he began to cough.

"It's okay...", said Patrick, tousling his friends hair and was going to eat his ice creams when he heard the question.
He looked at Daniel surprised and then at Paul. His reaction made him burst with laughter. It was his time to wipe his eyes when he calmed down.
"Nope. Never", he gasped and started to laugh once more.
"We are going to the garden", said Jane with a smile and helping Thomas they went out from the kitchen.

"Sorry I'm sadly into the dames," wheezed Paul as his lungs finally allowed him air. "Plus this weirdo ain't my type." He pinched Patrick on the cheek and smiled over to Daniel.

"Ah I see....I'm sorry I hope I didn't make you feel uncomfortable with such a question," replied Daniel.

"Not a problem and I'm going to follow the parental's," said Paul as he picked up his bowl of ice cream and headed out of the kitchen as well.

Daniel looked over to Patrick and then back down at his ice cream as there was some silence between the two until Ace thought that Patricks big toe looked awfully tasty...
