Today was a rather hot day. It was almost unbearable to say the truth. The weather like this never got as bad as it was right now, and I honestly felt like a layer of sweat was building on my skin and making it's way through my shirt. It felt damp and nasty.

I let out a sigh and scratch my head. Maybe a trip to the pool would be a good way to cool off. I've never been there before, but it was pretty much out of options now. I couldn't go home and shower. My mom would just nag me to death.

Surprisingly, there's no one at the pool. I would have though that, on a day like this, there would be more people. Go figure.

Imma about to go in, dressed in only my green beach-shorts when I see someone surface on the other side. They must have been underwater. I squint my eyes "cause the sun's glare is blinding, and I realize who it is that I had just seen.

"Hey, Kiba, what's up man?" I wave. I don't know if he could hear me. His back is turned towards me, and he's pretty far into the deep end. All I can see is his head poking out of the water, his brown locks damped down with all the water from the pool. "What are you doing out here?"

"Oh hey shikamaru!'' feeling embarresed i teleport to my get my trunks and then back
"Im just cooling off on this hot day, what r u doing here" i yell back

I scratch the back of my head. I saw Kiba poof in and out for a moment, but now it had me thinking why? Why did he teleport for like a second? Was something goin' on?

I dip my toe into the pool. The water is cold. I don't know how Kiba is in there all the way to his freakin' neck. Jesus Christ.

"Same here, bro. Thought I would cool off. You don't mind if I join you right?" I ask. I then look around and add, "You think there's room for me in there? Haha."

The water is cold. A part of me just wanted to be like "You know what? Nevermind," but the other part of me, the part that wasn't a spineless yellow-belly, told ms to just suck in my gut and jump in. Of course, I didn't do that, either. I mDe my way over to the steps and slowly made my way in.

"Brrr," I shiver. "I-it's freakin' col- Hey! Stop laughing! It's not funny alright."

I hold onto the rail. I don't wanna go any deeper than the second step I was currently on. Fuck! I must look pathetic. I'm as pale as a ghost on a sunny day, and I'm shivering like a wet cat on a day where the temp is nearing it's freaking hundreds.

"haha suck it up shika its just a little cold water" the water was just the way i like it cold and chilly.
'' hey shikamaru, come or are u just a chicken are u gonna run to ur little asuma-sensai" i yelled across the water
i dont know how he felt like the water was cold it was a hot day and the water was just perfect

"Screw you, man," I say from where I am. There was no way I'd go over there. I was fine with just dipping my feet. Actually...

I pretty much exit and just sit on ledge as i splash my feet in and out and look up at the sky, basking in it's warmth. That's right. I was warm now. Not hot, not cold. Warm.

"I'm not scared of Asuma," I say, my eyes still shut in relaxation as I grip the edge. "You're the one who'd be running around like a little girl if Kurenai-sensei popped her head up, haha."

" You suck you know that? haha fine dont come" i said not beliving myself. I teleported behind shikamaru grabbed him by the chest and pushed him in
seeing him fall him gave me a lot of joy

Fucking asshole! I resurface with a gasp, and my eyes are literally about to pop out of their sockets! Fuck, the water is cold. Now I know how Jack and Rose felt when they were in the icy-waters of the antarctic.

Stop! I was over-exaggerating.

"You're such a drag," I complain. My heart is bearing madly as a cold numbness takes over. It passes by, though. In time my body adapts, and I swim around the pool freely. Okay, I was on my back, and I was letting the water take me wherever, but I was still moving, nonetheless.

My head bumps into Kiba's stomach, and I laugh.

"Mind moving, you pushy jerk!"
