When the Spider Submits (Private for dablackstallion and Second_Chance)

bic - I swung through the city streets, looking to see if there was anything crimes going on. New York has been quite lately, which made me nervous. Someone is up to something, but what? My thoughts raced from villain to villain, but he couldn't quite place it. Doc Oct, was in the slammer, the vulture was gone... He hasn't heard from the Goblin or Vemon lately. I turned my directing, swinging above the busy New York streets!

Venom had been very angry about Spider-Man ruining his previous plans. He had decided to do something about it now. Venom had kidnapped numerous pedestrians and hidden them in a freight container. Just before he left, he injured many of the pedestrians hoping one of them would yell Spider-Man's name.

Venom had already contacted the police on the location of the innocent people, making sure they would find them and lead them to safety. All he wanted was Spider-Man, he was going to settle things once and for all.

From below, I heard the sounds of police cruisers rushing about. Concerned, I followed the police cars, swinging around corners and rushing past buildings. Before long, I could hear the sounds of screams. Screams calling my name! Spider-Man! I grunted and swung high into the air, landings in front of a freight containers. I opened it to find nothing, but the sounds of people calling my name continued. I growled and opened different containers trying to find the civilians! After a few minutes in the container maze (which is extremely hard to find something if they don't want to be found), I discovered a container full if injured civilians. I helped them escape, directing them through the maze of containers. "This is weird," I thought to myself. "Why was it so easy to find them? It shouldn't of been this easy! What's happening?"

Venom waited in his spot. It was a secluded spot in an open field, with no trees or buildings for either of them to use their webs on. When they met, it was going to be a battle of strength, and Venom wanted that very badly.

On the freight next to the one the civilians were being held was an address written in cob webs. At that address were two dozen people who had been locked in an apartment where a nauseous gas was being released. What no one really knew was that the gas was not lethal, all it did was render you unconscious. Also inside that address was a huge map of New York. Venom had marked his position on the map with more webbing.

He had told all of the civilians inside of the apartment that he was going to do something terrifying, hoping one of them would tell Spider-Man something.

Moving back to the compartment, I noticed something. The black webbing of... "Venom!" I finished my thought out loud. Moving in closer, I noticed that were was actually an address. It was an apartment building, one that wasn't far from the Daily Bugle. I rushed over to the building, and before I could really tell what was going on, people where calling my name. This older lady. "Spider-Man! Help! I think something terrible has happened! Venom was here earlier! He said he was going to do something horrible! I heard screaming from below! Help please!" She cried out.

"Don't worry ma'am! I'll take over from here!" Dropping down a few floors, I noticed that all the windows where closed. That was odd for an old building like that to have in the middle of summer. Closed windows. And the fact that Venom was here earlier didn't help.

I crashed into the building and saw bodies lying everywhere. Where they dead? No... no wounds, blood, trauma... they're still breathing. They were knocked out. Again, I noticed the black webbing of venom. Another address, or well, location. He was in a park... a park? I didn't have much time to think of it, so I rushed over as fast as I could.

Before long, I saw Venom standing there, so I shouted out his name. "Venom! What have you done?" I demand!

Venom smiled that devilish grin of his as he watches his nemesis appear in front of him. He had no doubt that Spider-Man would show up. He was clever, that was without a doubt. The number of times Spider-Man had defeated him using their surroundings was embarrassing. Too embarrassing.

That was why he was going to settle the score right now in a location where Spider-Man couldn't use his surrounding to help him out, only his muscles. He then let out a cackle, "I did nothing Spidey." Venom said in that twisted voice of his, "No one got hurt did they? Unless you failed to protect the citizens of New York once again." Venom licked his lips with his elongated tongue, saliva spreading everywhere as his tongue made its rounds around his mouth.

"I'm going to kick your ass once and for all!" Venom said angrily, planting his feet into the ground, so it made it look like he was going to take the charge. He waited for Spider-Man to get a bit closer before going invisible, quickly moving to the side. "You forgot I could do this, didn't you Spidey?!" Venom laughed, his voice seeming to haunt Spider-Man.

I growled as Venom spoke. I was never sure how to feel about Venom. He was sick and dark, but something about just stuck in my mind. Maybe it was his elongated tongue or the way he spoke! Whatever the case, I was going to finish this once and for all!

I charged, ready to attack, when Venom disappeared. I slid to a stop, looking around. I cursed to myself. I had forgotten he could do that. What I did remember was that I couldn't rely on my Spidy-Senses right now. "Where are you?" I called out to him, looking around.

Venom smiled as he remained hidden. He knew that cocky asshole would fall for that. Venom could have chosen to stay quiet, but that would make things much to easy. "Now why would I ever reveal that to you." Venom said, aware that Spider-Man was listening to his voice to find out where he was.

Venom had thought of that already. He was spaced appropriately from Spider-Man, far enough to avoid Spider-Man's attacks if he were to turn and swing at him or to avoid a sudden web ball, but close enough where Venom could easily reach him with one of his webs or tentacles.

I snarled again, listening. I expected Venom to attack almost right away, but he didn't.... he stayed hidden. I looked around, trying to find him, then he spoke. He gave away his position! I swung around on the spot and shot a sudden web ball. However, the ball wasn't towards Venom, but not far off from him. Distracted (with him assuming I would of tried to hit him with that), I charged, tackling the real Venom. He was closer than I had expected to we fell to the floor. I had grabbed Venom, but body right up against his. He was strong and his symbiotic suit was skin tight, so I could feel every muscle in his body. He faded back into view as we fell together. I was sure Venom was up to something, but I didn't know what! Had I just fallen into a trap?
