Wars Harsh Love (18+)
A one on one role play with myself and Axysses.
- my characters Picture http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...horthllair.jpg
Alexander Hadn't always lived alone, at one point he'd been living with his father, his mother having passed on when he was a child. He was now 18, but his small size had caused his father to over pass in when it came to the war. The military had asked for one male from each house hold to fight for there home land. Alex himself was going to apply, but his father had felt his frail state would be an offset, so instead the older male went in his place. No one argued, it was the fathers who got first chance. Then the sons if such a thing couldn't take place. Now Alexander didn't know if his father was a live anymore. His home town having been taken over by the apposing forces. It wasn't a good sign he figured, being as if they'd have been winning, the other military wouldn't have gotten this far into the country. He didn't have hope anymore...at least not to see his father again.
Letting out a sigh as he kept tucked in up in the craw space, Alexander tried to hold himself as still as he could. He was guarding the hiding path that led to the other children and women from the village, most of the other houses had more then one son go, simple because of request from there fathers. Alexanders father refused to allow him to go, so now he was stuck hiding out with the children who couldn't fight, and the girls...He'd at least guard the place that kept them safe..and if anyone did find him, he could easily block the path into the hiding place, (which had a second way out, that only could be used if you were in the hiding spot) Two ways out, one way in was a really good thought up for whoever built the place. "i wonder how long I'll have to wait..." he said as he listened to the shots...He knew it wouldn't be long before someone came into the house and found the trap door under the floorboards...He would fight back..as much as he could.

Zeke: http://yaoiai.com/gallery/data/529/17396374.jpg
War.
Such sad times. Zeke was a romantic, but he did not believe in war. It was something terrible, something horrible that shook the foundations of the world. It sought to question the basis of humanity, and sometimes took into question the need for governance. Why was there a need to appoint the leader if what the world merely wanted was peace? Disputes should be settled individually, not on a scale whereby millions of unwilling lives would be put at stake just for a single wrong statement of a man, supposedly representative of his country.
It was Zeke's second time in the battlefield. The first had been when he joined the military at 16: their country had erupted into a civil war, and he had the blood of his own citizens on his hands. That war had lasted three years, but it had been long enough to wipe out more people than he had wished. Now, at age 23, he was a commanding officer, young and perhaps too experienced for his age. The other commanders had scoffed initially, but the cold, pained stare he had taken on after his first war was enough to keep him silent. He was so used to murdering, to this senseless killing, that he had no idea how he should feel anymore.
His group of elite soldiers mobilised outside the house, footsteps unheard. It was said to be the stronghold of the rebellion. Why could they not simply embrace humanity and live? His strong body moved fluidly, crashing the door down simply by bashing his shoulder, the wood tearing into half. Two men greeted with gunfire, but they didn't stand a chance as Zeke shot both in the head within a split second, subsequent fire by his team members making the bodies jump in midair as they landed with two resounding thuds.
"Only two? I don't believe it," he muttered to himself, making a silent gesture for his team to examine the house for more of the rebels. He stepped quietly as they disappeared, leaving him in the main hallway. The floorboards were particularly sturdy, save for one as it gave slightly under his feet. Zeke stopped, before sending his heel crashing onto the wood, kicking up several loose floorboards. A trap door...
"Men, regroup!" His voice carried clear across the corridor and echoed throughout the house. Within ten seconds his team was assembled, staring at the hinge that invited them. He didn't think: he just pulled it wide open.

His heart thudded loudly in his chest, hand gripping the shirt that covered it, fear and panic filling his being as he held his breath. One hand placed over his mouth to keep the light sigh like whines from being heard. He might have wanted to go fight, help his people...but he still was a childish man, the age of 18 was young, even in his village. He wasn't sure what he should do. Alex just waited, his mind slowly going over the steps of setting the signal for the other folks to run...All he would have to do is flip the power switch, (the main power will shot off and the escape lights will come on. That way when or if the others who invaded ever did get into the room, they wouldn't think about flipping the switch off to see...
Hearing the cracking sound of a door busting upon, fallowed by gun shots, Alex took a moment to allow fear to fill him completely before heading over and doing what he was to do, lights off, trap rocks sliding back down into place, creating a natural wall, the should had been mostly over covered by the gun shots, (the main reason he had to move fast...) with that done, he slid down the far wall, away from the trap which held a hidden door(a trick to lead the men to the middle of no where should they take it.) His hands wrapping around his legs as he held himself into a tight ball, waiting...wondering.
When the sounds of scuffs stopped, he looked up, the feet of the men above having stopped. His face hinted fear and sorrow as he wondered if they'd given up...before there was a crunch...They'd found the door, swallowing slightly, Alex waited, his body shaking slightly as he set as still as he could, watching the trapped door as he was pulled open, his topaz gaze staring right up at, who he figured, to be the commander of the arm. His mouth pressed tightly together as he waited, unsure of what they would do to him. He wasn't a child anymore, but he wasn't completely a man.

(I didn't really get the imagery of the "trap leading them to nowhere" thing and the rock wall but I'll try...)
The trap door opened to complete darkness. All Zeke saw was a wall of boulders: it didn't look too sturdy. The light of his rifle was switched on as he descended the steps, coming face to face with the rock wall as he smashed it with the heel of his foot. It budged. His second-in-command came down to help, and soon the rock wall gave way. He immediately held his gun up, torch shining straight ahead. This section was lighted, a sort of escape route.
Escape... refugees?
He made a series of silent gestures with his hands, his team coming up behind him as they stalked the corridor silently, not making a sound. Some of them had stayed up to guard the entrance, just in case the exit was shut. He thought he heart footsteps, the sound of breathing: it wasn't his, nor did it belong to his men. He gestured again as they stopped. He could hear the breathing, louder now. Zeke turned the corner, his finger on the trigger...
And he saw a boy. He was cowering, skinny, malnourished. Those yellow eyes stared right back at him, but Zeke maintained his cold, hard stare. He quickly spoke in his native language, which sounded like hushed whispers: "让他命。" ("Let him live.")
"他不是国家的人民,还不用杀他?" ("He isn't one of us, aren't we to kill?")
"如果他想跟我们打才可以。" ("Only if he wants to pick a fight, then we do.")
He stood some distance from the boy, examining him. He was small in stature, almost like he was dwarfed. But his face showed some maturity, though Zeke couldn't tell his age. He switched to the native tongue, tone serious. He was the only one who could speak it, and his men didn't understand.
"Don't move. We will not harm you if you do not harm us." He had to come across as authoritative, so he continued to point his gun towards the boy. He wasn't taking any chances. "Lie down on the floor. We will search you for weapons."
(Sorry, I probably didn't manage to understand your description about the trap door and all that stuff, so I just wrote it how I thought it was... also, I used Chinese 'cos that's the only other language I know, and I do imagine that they are warring nations...)

(thats fine, I can just go off of what you have, i had to go to work so i kinda rushed through it. sorry)
Looking at the man who'd torn his village apart was harder then anything he'd done as of yet. Going hungry...watching out for the others as they got away..it had only been small compared to the feelings that filled him while staring at the cold gaze of the men who'd caused all this. Sorrow..fear, wonder....He wasn't sure what to do to be honest, and it wasn't as if the words that had been spoken could reach his ears. First of..The language wasn't from there nation, and Alex wasn't one to learn it in school due to the class having no teacher. His mind wondered in circles as he waited, listening to anything that might sound partly like his own. None came though.
He allowed his gaze to move to the other people rather then just the leader of the group, watching as a few fiddled a bit with there guns, most likely they were trying to figure out if they should kill him or not. He wasn't completely ready to die, but he didn't want to give in either, his father hadn't...why should he? It was just rude and shameful not to give it his all..but still, he couldn't help but cower there, waiting with a blank numbness of fear as he turned his gaze back onto the leader of the group.
"li...lie down" he repeated as he glanced at the ground, he wasn't sure if he should move, first off he was scared enough sitting in a ball, but allowing his limbs to pull apart and his back up to them...it scared him more. But he didn't argue, instead he slowly allowed his legs to stretch out as he twisted over, lying on his stomach...Thinking for a moment he reached down into the pocket and pulled out the knife that was given to him, tossing it to the side. He didn't want to be caught with it, so why not just toss it now? When he'd gotten it, he lied right back down, hands covering his face from lying on the dirt. "like this?" he asked looking back up at the leader as best as he could while lying down.

Zeke cocked his gun at the boy's head, ready to shoot. He saw the glint of metal: he didn't have to worry, he would be faster than the boy, faster than his men. If the boy was going to kill him then he would have to die before he could.
He took a knife and threw it away.
"Like this?" the boy looked up to Zeke while the soldiers searched him for bombs, triggers, weapons, anything. Zeke stared coldly back into the boy's eyes, nodding. How old was he, really?
"What are you doing here," Zeke asked. "And where are the other people?" He would just have to assume that there were other people along with the boy. Even so, he made sure that the boy wouldn't be able to tell Zeke was faking it: his face still remained expressionless, jaw hardened further by the framing of his face in the helmet. He pressed the nozzle of the gun to the boy's head. He didn't want to hurt the boy, but he needed to get as much information as possible... "Where. Are. They?"

Alex watched as the male got the knife and tossed it away, he wasn't sure where it landed, so there was little hope of getting it back, he thought by doing that, he'd get at least a brownie point. But he guess not. Pressing his lip down as he lied there, feeling hands panting him down and maybe a few embarrassing touches here or there, but he said nothing.
When the other male spoke again, he blinked a few times as he thought. "I...I'm the watcher.." he said simply, he wasn't going to flat out lie about everything, the truths he told could help over lap the lies. "And I don't know where everyone else went. I've been here..." he said still looking the other straight in the eye, this was partly truth, the people left, and he wasn't allowed to know where just in case he were in this situation...He'd been the one to agree to it. His gaze didn't waver when he felt the gun pressing into his head. "I said I didn't know." he repeated wincing a bit.

So he didn't know. Zeke issued out a rough command to a few of his men.
"察看。"(Check it out) he said, pointing in the direction of the corridor. He turned back to the boy.
"So. You're the watcher, which means there were women and children hiding down here, I suppose?" Zeke maintained the neutrality of his voice, lifting the nozzle of his gun from the boy's forehead and helping him up. "If you don't tell us where they went, how are we going to help you, and those you were meant to watch over? Would you rather them die out there in the battle between us and the rebels, or would you rather them live in security and peace?" Zeke turned his back, walking slightly up the corridor. "We do not merely exist for killing, son. We exist to bring peace even in such turmoil."

Alex set his mouth as the other sent a few people down the corridor, hoping that they others had gotten out in time. These women and children didn't kneed to be put in this kind of thing...and what most, the male who now seemed to control everything was talking about helping them. "How can there be peace when You were the ones who caused this 'turmoil?' he asked with a small hint of bitterness. "And I can't tell you where they are if I myself don't know. I wasn't suppose to make it out...." he said his expression hard. "I was the one who chose to be here. And whats so good about a watcher who rats out his people? To be sure I can't do such a thing, i had them leave with out my knowing of where too...if i did get out of this, I'd have just lived alone til the war was over."

That's it. Zeke snapped, pressing the boy's head down with his hand forcefully enough. He leaned down next to his ear, his men looking away. They more or less thought the same thing: don't interrupt. Zeke's voice turned into a low, harsh growl.
"Because the purpose of being the damn watcher is to make sure they are safe! Women and children safe, outside on the streets where the resistance fights, blinded? They won't care for these people! And I goddamn want to save them, including you, so just tell be where the HELL this passage leads so that we won't have to gather the stinking corpses of women and children YOU tried to save but ended up killing."
