Workplace Romance (For ShikamaruNaru)

Matt stepped into the lift that would take him to his new workplace. He'd just recently graduated from university and was his first taste of the big bad world. He was lucky to have landed this job so soon after graduating - even if it was something as mundane as administration. Nonetheless, he was pretty petrified and he thought he looked it. He turned to a reflective part of the lift, trying his best to get a look at himself before it brought him up the 21 floors to his new office. He was surprised that he looked alright. His sweeping brown hair was still perfect despite the forceful autumn winds and his sharp grey suit still looked presentable despite his nervous sweating.

He straightened up quickly before the doors opened and he came face to face with his new workplace. Lee stepped out of the lift tentatively and was met by his boss who introduced him to everyone before he found his way to his workstation alongside another man. He sat down in his chair and spun around to introduce himself to his neighbour. He extended his hand to the guy "Hi there, I'm Lee" he said, smiling broadly.

Kevin would sigh as he sat at his desk typing up report, he hated his job, sitting on his ass and typing on a keyboard wasn't what he had planed for his life. However it was all that was available to him, sure he was lucky enough to land a good paying job, but he was also proved himself several times to be promoted, but he never got it. Kevin would sigh as he stopped typing and played with his necklace, it was a gift from his Mother, a simple design, yet also very complex. Kevin stopped as he looked up at his computer, he didn't know how this all happened, but it did and he was stuck behind a computer for now.

Kevin blinked as he heard someone take a seat next to him, he knew someone was taking that spot soon, but he didn't expect it to be today. Kevin really didn't wish to make friends, last time he did the friendship was cut short by a massive lay off. Kevin heard the chair spin around and the male spoke, he turned look at the man, he smile back and took Lee's hand, "Hey, my name is Kevin" he said softly. Kevin was very tall, about six feet and three inches, which was kind of unusual, his hair was a light blonde and almost shoulder length, and curled at the end, he wore a less casual suit, just a shirt and tie with pressed pants.

"Nice to meetcha!" Lee said back as he switched on his desktop and adjusted his chair. If this was going to be his hell for the next God-know-how-long then he might as well make himself at home. While waiting for the computer to turn on he spun idly in his chair again, eager to make conversation with Kevin who would also be sharing this very special place in hell.

"So how long have you been working here, Kevin?" he asked cheerily. This cheer may wear down after a few months of working in this monotonous office, he thought, so he better make the most of it while he's still happy.

Kevin blushed faintly before turning back to his computer, Lee was pretty cute, but he knew soon he wouldn't be this cheerful, he couldn't remember the last time he giggled let alone smiled without a reason. Kevin sigh as he looked up at the clock, signaling the fact he wished he wasn't here right now, but not because of Lee, but because it was boring and anyone fool enough to stay in this company as long as he has was idiotic. Kevin heard Lee ask him how long he has worked here, "About two years... I've wasted two years doing this job... Sometimes I feel stupid for no--- Never mind." he turned his face away, he didn't want to talk about his life to someone he barely knew.

So Lee was right; this place really did suck the life force out of you.

Keen to bring a little bit of cheer back into the office (it was sorely needed) he resigned himself to become at least acquainted with Kevin as a first step in the direction of establishing himself in the office.

"Well then," he began "When lunch comes round, let's waste an hour doing something better!" he chimed, laughing as he turned once more to the computer and logged in. His eyes scanned around the office. People sat at desks typing away, the occasional person walking to and from the copier - looking quite miserable as they did so. Surely this place couldn't be that bad Lee thought to himself. Then a pale yellow poster caught his eye and it made him smile with hope. Office party it read. Lee motioned to the poster "Are you going to the party?" he asked, hopeful.

Kevin would blink as he heard Lee ask him out for lunch, but to do something better instead, "Anything if it gets me out of this place..." he said with a chuckle, he felt a bit more cheerful now with Lee next to him, but it also felt kind of odd somehow as he couldn't remember being so happy. Kevin would yawn softly as he finished typing, he closed the document only to open another he had to finish, it was always this way, he would finish one, but two more would replace the one he finished. Kevin closed the document, he didn't want to start another one, not right now, perhaps in a while he would, after all there wasn't much you could do in the office unless it was done in secret. Kevin heard Lee ask about the Office Party and if he was going, "I might go... It's a nice time unless the boss decides to turn it into a staff meeting... Sometimes I think he likes sucking the life out of us with his boring speeches of team work and crap..." he said with a smirk on his face.

Lee grinned as Kevin accepted his offer for lunch, glad that he seemed a little more positive "Tell me about it..." he said, looking around at the cubicles and imagining barred gates trapping the people in their work cells. "But until then-" he added "-There's three hours of work to be getting on with!"With that, Lee clicked into a spreadsheet document and began going over some figures. His eyes darted around the office again. Funny, he thought, the office itself looked suspiciously like a spreadsheet. Claustrophobic, restrictive, orderly.

A couple of hours went by and Lee's focus began to wane, his mind wandering. He found himself happening upon a particular thought; Kevin was quite good looking. Shaggy blonde hair, a firm grip, and a grumpiness more charming than tiresome. Lee shook the thought away. His first day meeting someone and he was already sizing him up. He felt a bit embarrassed and somewhat ashamed.

Kevin chuckled a bit as he went back to work, he started to wonder more about Lee, but he soon let go of the idea of a possible hookup, let alone something interesting between them, plus it was only the first day they met. But he couldn't help but be curious of how they would work out if they were interested in each other, how would the day pan out, but more importantly if they both worked how would they find the energy and time for sex let alone anything else afterwards?

After several hours passed, Kevin finished his work he had to do, he printed out his work and got out of his chair before placing his hand on Lee's shoulder, "Let's see if my legs will allow me to get to the copier..." he joked, before walking past Lee to the copier. Kevin bumped into another worker and they talked for a second, that was more then enough to get Kevin miserable again. Maybe it wasn't just the boss but his assistants too, bending over to pick up his papers gave Lee a nice view, that is if he was looking, of course Lee wasn't that far from Kevin's mind before he stood up and walked up tot he copier. Kevin was a bit embarrassed, he didn't want to look at Lee to see if he was staring, but he wanted to know if Lee was interested, if only a little bit.

Kevin groaned as the copier even seemed to be miserable, stalling and slowly printing each page out before stapling the pages together, he sighed once it was all finally done, at least for today, tomorrow there would be a ton more as usual. Kevin placed his papers in the outbox right next to the copier, he walked back to his shared desk and sat in his chair, he threw his hands int he air and said "I'm done" he chuckled as if he had won some type of race.

Lee laughed as Kevin passed comment on his legs, probably gone dead from being sat down for so long. He jolted somewhat as Kevin's had rested on his shoulder, squeezing a little, and he unconsciously leaned back into Kevin's brief grip. He struggled to finish the last bits of his work as sordid thoughts ran through his head, and the view of Kevin's shapely ass didn't help either.

Just as the thoughts were becoming a little bit more interesting, Kevin was sat next to him once more. Lee checked the time, noting that it was lunch, and turned his screen off, deciding to finish his work later. "Right, lunch!" he said, wheeling over to Kevin and patting his thigh.

Kevin smirked as he looked at Lee, something about him was oddly refreshing, he didn't feel stuff and stuck up anymore, at least for now that is. Kevin would blush as he felt Lee pat his thigh, he could literally feel blood start to rush to his cock as if on cue. He would take a deep breath, trying to relax, having a boner in front of a new co-worker wasn't really in his day planner. Kevin got up and looked at Lee, "Soooo... Where we going to eat?" he said with a smirk, he was curious if Lee had an actual idea or was bluffing and was going to ask him where they should go for lunch.
