Matt walked slowly into the bathroom, he had just awoken for the day. Stretching he started the shower and moved to get ready for the day. He was 19 and was a senior at high school as well as worked at a local super market. He lived with his brother as his guardian since their mom and dad had passed 2 years back. He schooled part time on a virtual high school while his brother actually went to a normal school. It was a rare day he got a day off from both, which was today for his brother's birthday. He had made a cake for him and would be making a surprise breakfast. He had spent a lot to get a good English breakfast for his brother and got his brother a new gaming system as well, which he would give the boy in a wrapt gift when he awoke. Smiling Matt finished his shower, got dressed and began to make breakfast.

Kevin would wake up wearing only a tank top that covered most of his body, he loved loose fit clothing to bed, he hated being bundled up in tight clothing. The boy would peek from under his bangs and poke his alarm clock, he grumbled as no alarm went off like it usually did, he groaned and flopped the blankets off his body before slowly sitting up and getting out of bed. He looked outside the window and rubbed his eyes before making his way across the room to his door, he opened the door and went to the bathroom and peed. Once he finished he saw the shower was still wet, so he knew his big brother Matt was awake already, he never could understand how he could do it all, he not only did schoolwork like him, but also made sure he had breakfast, lunch for school, and dinner as well as make sure to take him to doctors appointments and other various chores. Kevin did love his brother much more in the past two years since their parents died, they got closer and he felt safe with Matt because he knew he would never let Kevin get hurt. Kevin quickly made his way to his room and got dressed in his usually attire, before making his way downstairs slowly, still trying to wake up.

Matt smiled as Kevin walked into the kitchen "Morning Birthday Boy" He said cheerily as he plated some eggs, bacon a muffin and lastly some hash browns before setting it in Kevin's normal spot nearest him. They always sat close since that day of the car crash. "Your gift is on the couch in the living room, you can open it and a few others that I got it you after you eat. I know you love this kind of breakfasts and you get to pick what we have for dinner. Your lunch will be a surprise like breakfast" He explained as he plated his own plate and sat beside his spot.

Kevin giggled as Matt spoke up, "No wonder you got up so early." he smiled as he listened to the rest of what his big brother said. The boy would walk over to Matt and hug his neck, "You're the best big bro ever." he said happily before taking a seat next to Matt, he smiled as he ate his breakfast, making all sorts of pleasing sounds, he loved how good his brother cooked, he knew exactly how he liked his food and did his best to make sure they were cooked that way. After finishing his breakfast he would smile up at his big brother and giggle, he waited until his brother was done as well, he didn't want Matt to miss seeing him open his gifts from him. Kevin was excited though, he always loved the gifts Matt had given to him over the past two years, his birthday and Christmas were never very fun until his Brother became his guardian, the first Christmas without Mom and Dad upset him, but once he was downstairs and saw what his brother did to make Christmas special he forgot about it all, just like when his birthday came around.

Matt chuckled as Kevin ate happily, it made him proud that his brother was happy. He ate more slowly, eating about 2/3s before moving to clean up. "I am happy your happy Little bro" He said softly and ruffled Kevin's hair softly as he finished. "Lets go open your gifts, also you need to tell me your wish" He smiled as he poked his Brother's side as he said wish. Every Birthday and Christmas he made Kevin tell him a wish and it would be fulfilled to his best abilities within a week of said wish. "Remember nothing to big, or out of reach" He reminded his Brother of the only rule of the Wish.

Kevin would smile as he felt his side and mention is wish, he loved his brother's wish granting, his big brother always made it happen no matter what. Kevin always thought long and hard about his wish, he only got 2 wishes the entire year, the boy smiled and spoke up, "My only wish is that for one day we can spend a day together." he said, he knew the wish was pretty far out there, but by the time he got home Matt was cooking dinner and then after he drew Kevin's bath and by the time Kevin was ready for bed Matt was already asleep. The only time Kevin spent the most time with Matt was Christmas Day, he wanted a little more then just one day a year, he looked to his brother waiting to remind him of the rule of the wishes he could ask for.

Matt chuckled deeply "Choose another, cause I already planned it so that today we would have all day, its Saturday and I got off from work." He said with a grin and tickled Kevin some before moving and grabbed a medium sized box and handed it to his brother "Open" It was an Xbox 360.

Kevin smiled as he heard Matt say that wish was already made, he thought a bit about what he wanted, he did have one thing he wanted. Kevin giggled as his older brother tickled his side and before moving to give him a box, he grabbed the box and opened it to find an Xbox 360, he looked up at his older brother and hugged him tightly, "I love you so much!" he said, he was always teased for not having an Xbox when all his friends did. Kevin smiled as he opened his other gifts, he looked at his older brother as he did, he loved seeing his older brother smile at how happy he was when he opened his gifts, it was the same way at Christmas as well.

Matt hugged Kevin back just as tight "Love you to little one" He said tenderly and let his brother finish opening 4 more which were games he knew his brother wanted, smiling as he watched. Moving Matt sat in his chair, he had vowed to keep his brother safe and happy when he took custody of him. It had been a full year of fighting the courts. And Matt tended to go without just so his brother had things to keep him feel like he fitted in with other at school. They only had a small apartment to share but Matt never minded he just focused on his Brother. The only day he spent on himself was his own birthday, which he would take off school and work just to relax.

Kevin would smile as he looked at his brother, he moved over and sat in Matt's lap before hugging him, he would rest his head against his brother's chest as he spoke, "You take such great care of me..." he said happily. Kevin smiled as he thought, "I wanna talk to you about something... Personal." he said a bit embarrassed about even bringing it up. Kevin was actually waiting for his birthday to come to bring up what he wanted to talk about cause he knew it was the one time he could talk with Matt about it.
