A furry adventure. (Open to all)

Daystar's tail flicked back and forth the way it always did when he was anxious. The flash of his own orange and white caught his attention. His fur was all matted. When had he last brushed his tail? Half-foxes were supposed to be a proud people, this was disgraceful. He fished a comb out of his jeans pocket and ran it through. Well, that'll have to do. The meadow was just beyond the next rise and he had to at least try to look presentable. Who would be there?

As the sun rose high in the sky, it casts an almost glaring light over white fur of a young wolf-dog mix. He stood with his cargo pants rolled up to his knees in a river. "Com'n you stupid fish! Stop running away." He whined to himself reaching down quickly to try and grab at one of many river troat.

Daystar climbed over the rise. The meadow was empty, unusual for this time of month. There was a time when this area would be flooded with bears, foxes, dogs and wolves.
"Pity," he said aloud.
The long walk from his den had left him parched and hot. He veered to the left heading to the nearby river for a bath and a drink.
He arrived at the crystal waters that cascaded along the gorge. After a quick glance around Daystar peeled off his jeans and waded into the water. The easy current was cool and refreshing. Daystar dipped underwater reemerging to float in the crisp tide.
After a few moments of letting his mind wander he heard a loud splashing nearby.
What?!
"Who's there?" he called.

"Hah! I gotcha!" Shae yelled holding up a huge river trout. He smiled proudly wagging his black tipped tail in full happiness. "Thought you could escape me didn't ya? well guess what! I win the round fish!" He laughed turning in the direction of the voice. When he turn to find a naked fox bathing in the river he gasped in surprise, almost dropping the fish. "What the?! W-what are you doing?!"

Daystar came to his feet. Water rushed across his legs and tail at hip level.
"what does it look like I'm doing? I'm swimming." he retorted. Only then did he remember his jeans hanging of the tree on the other side of the river.
"oh..." he mumbled, "uhh.."
He covered his crotch and looked down. A squishing sound brought his eyes back up. A wrtihing fish fought to escape from the young wolf's grasp. He took a moment to take in the newcomer. Beautifully gleaming white fur shone in the late sun. Stark white but for an ebony patch over one eye and a tapering at his tail. Daystar caught his tongue hanging out and quickly closed his mouth.
"You'll want to be careful, the trout here are lively. You don't wanna drop that." indicating the fish.
"actually, I'm shocked you nabbed one, i still haven't ever been able to."
woof! This guy was sexy.

Shae stared at the fox's naked body for a long moment like a deer at a headlight before coming back to his scenes from being spoken too. "huh? Oh uh...the fish. Right I uh..." he quickly turning around so his back was facing the fox. "I got lucky that's all." he mumbled trying to hide the slight blush line across his nose.
He walked out of the river over to a tree were his things lay and tied the fish up on a low branch from its tail. "Sorry for disturbing your swimming. I didn't think anyone else can way out here." He spoke aloud so the fox could hear him from afar without turning to look at him.

Daystar watched as the wolf waded out of the shallows to a tree and tied the catch to a branch. The delicate swish of his beautiful tale sent a tingle down his spine and around front. He felt himself hardening in his own hands and remembered his nudity. Quickly he swam across to his pants and plucked them from their post. As he pulled his legs through and finally his tail in the hole he cut in the back (he never found clothes that fit him right) a nasty idea flitted across his mind. Leaving the top two buttons unfastened he found a fallen log and swiftly crossed back over to where the wolf stood. Shaking the remaingin water from his coat and tail he approached.
"i'm daystar" he said, "not many come this far out, well, aside from the mating grounds. I usually have the river to myself. Sorry if I made you uncomfortable."
but he wasn't sorry, he hoped he had made the wolf something much different than uncomfortable.
He extended his hand.

One of Shae ears turns in the direction of splashing water. He pays it no mind as he drops down on all fours to shakes off the remaining water from fishing. When he rose again, his tail, no long held down by the heavy weight of water, curled up and over (like a husky tail). Before Shea could fully pull his sleeveless black hoodie over the dark tan cargo pants the fox was back by his side with his hand extended.
"hm? Oh, I'm Shae. Nice to meet you." He pulled the hoodie the rest of the way down then shock Blackstar's hand. The hand was warm and firm. It made him feel kinda funny so he released it quickly. He noticing that Blackstar's pants were undone, but instead of staring like he did last time, he looked back to his catch to avoid letting his imagination conjuring things. "Don't worry 'bout it. It's been a while since I've been why out here so I just was expecting anyone."

Yeah, I don't usually run into anyone out this far," Daystar trailed off.
Daystar looked around for somewhere to sit, but reconsidered thinking it might be rude to invite himself to join. He continued to admire the wolf's coat.
"So what brings you here?"

Shae invited Daystar to sit down next to him while he explained his reason for coming here. "About two months back I became of age. I was tired of always being the lowest member of the family because I was the smallest. So I left my pack to be on my own." He sighed think about everything up till now.
"Its not as easy as I thought it would be though." He laughed slightly wagging his tail a bit. "How about you? I don't recall anyone living around here."
