Do you spend a lot of money toward anime?
Or do you visit sites to watch or download it? On most animes like Inuyasha or Naruto I will watch online. If I knew how to set up dvd burners and such I'd obtain them in that manner but, I guess its not as easy as music. =p However, animes I consider GOAT(Greatest of all time.) like DB/DBZ, I'll purchase everything related. Oh and shorter animes that are inexpensive that I like as well like Yu Yu Hakasho I'll buy too, cause each season set was 20$ which isn't bad. But some anime prices are just too much, Inuyasha season sets use to be 100$, went down to 70$, and probably 40$ now but no.

I used to buy some anime dvds. Now I mostly watch it online on youtube or something.
I spend more money on manga than anime to be honest.

I generally download anything that I want. I've never paid for anything anime related unless you count games.

I spend far too much money on anime, manga and relate things. Saying that I think it's better to buy the items because without the money from sales I doubt the companies that produced them would have much funds to produce anything, and frankly I couldn't live without my anime/manga

I only buy anime series if I find it a pain to look for a good version on the net. Other than that, I have some merchandise here and there. That's about it.

Actually, no. Not really.
I know where to get them, so...
Lets see...
3,3,3, six for the price of 20, (four of which were anime) 3, 3, 3, 3, 7, so, so far, for the anime I have, I spent about 48 bucks, minus 7 that I used a gift card for, minus three that I got from store credit, 38.
So 38 bucks total spent for ten anime, (Three of those has two discs in them, so 16 discs in all) plus tax.
Plus manga-
Total, it comes down to 185 bucks... BUT!
I got a 25 dollar gift cards for graduation, another three for my eighteenth birthday, which I spent on Junjou Romantica and Fullmetal Alchemist, of course. <3
Then I got yet ANOTHER 25 dollar gift card... Which meant MORE YAOI!
So that's already 125 bucks deducted there.
Though I had to pay the extra two from the yaoi I got recently from the other gift card from Christmas. I got one 13 dollar book from my boyfriend as a gift, so that makes 47 so far. Minus six from credit, so 41.
So I spent 41 total for 47 books.
(I sold a bunch of books, as well.)
That's a total of 63 items gotten, and about 79 spent total.
And just for the fun of it... Lets say each disk cost about 20 bucks originally. That's 320, plus tax for anime.
And lets say... Four books were 14, one was 7, and the rest were ten. That'd be about 223 in value.
So all together, they're actually worth 543 dollars, plus tax, and I spent 79 bucks total.
Not bad, if I do say so my self! ;D

I used to buy a ton of anime DVDs years ago. Nowadays, those same discs just sit on shelves while I buy manga (the much cheaper option) instead.

yeah, i just read/watch most of the things i like online, i tis both easier and cheaper, but i will buy the manga, movies, select episodes, and other for the one's that i really do enjoy. mostly the manga though, i fund the authors/companies when and if i can since money doesn't exactly grow on trees.
