One Piece: The Golden Age

In the world of pirates, there was one who stood above the rest his name was Gold Roger. Gold Roger had conquerored every piece of teasure that had existed. His regin was one of legacy, but that legacy came to an end when he was captured by the Navy and was sent to the gallows. Before he was executed, his last words had inspired pirates all around the world. "Want my ulimate teasures?" "It is possible...I will them to those who can find them." "I have gathered everything in this world, and already hidden them in that place.." These were his last words. The teasure eventally became known as One Piece, the ultimate teasure, that every pirate seeks.

Twenty years have passed since that historical event, and the age of pirates is continually growing strong. In response with the increase of pirates, the size of the Navy has been increased to combat the pirates, they still however are not enough of them to combat the pirates so they been enlisting the help of bounty hunters. You are thrown into the world, with a series of choices to be made. Are you going to a law-breaking pirate, part of the royal Navy or a free-lance bounty hunter? Fame and fortune are yours for taking, but the journery to obtain them is up to you. Everything is not as simple as it seems, alliances are being made between rivialing parties of the Navy, pirates, and bounty hunters. The strength that these people are obtaining are most likely going to lead to war and imenese blood shed.

Kyoshiro was at sea. It had been about 1 month since he left home to find One Piece and became a pirate. "The sea is so clear and beautiful today." He thought as the water hit his small boat. "I have enough food for a few more days so the next port I see I need to stop and purchase some more food." Kyoshiro had about 30 bells left and he knew he was going to need more to be able to continue his journey. "Maybe I should try and raid a ship?" He thought to himself. If Kyoshiro threw a couple of paper planes at the ship and cause them to explode he probably could raid? "That could work it would have to be a ship with pretty laxed security though..." But the benefits outweighed the liabilites to him.

Kyoshiro saw a pretty decent looking merchant ship and decide this is the one he would raid. "Yeah it is a bit bigger than my ship and it would be a lot better to sail in than what I am in now." Kyoshiro folded up a paper plane and threw it in the direction of making sure the explosion wouldn't damage the ship. "There dentate." The plane caused an explosion that made the crew flee the ship. "But to make sure there isn't anyone left." Kyoshiro folded up two more and threw them at the ship. "Detonate." The explosion caused the two remaining people on the ship to flee. "Alright now time to board the ship." Kyoshiro boarded the ship expecting there to be no one to be on there.

"Hey, so you are the one who been throwing explosions at this ship." A big man came out of the quarters. "So boy, you are a pirate, hmm." "Yes, sir and I am taking command of this ship."Kyoshiro said. The big man started to laugh. "Really boy so you think you can beat me, huh." The man pulled at a sword. "You at least deserve to the know the name of the man who is going to defeat you, they call me Joseph the Ruthless." The man swung at Kyoshiro. "I was thinking the same thing." Kyoshiro blocked it with the sword his teacher gave him, 'The Defender.' "Boy, a sword like that would kill anyone!!" Joseph continued to laugh. "It is not design to kill." said Kyoshiro. Joseph continued an assault of attacks. Kyoshiro keeped blocking with his sword and he had his hand in the pouch where he keeped his shuriken and kunai. "Boy, you will not defeat and take over this ship by defending." Joseph said. "I wasn't planning on I just need to buy some time." Kyoshiro threw the kunai as soon as Joseph pulled back his sword to attack again. "Ow. That was low, boy but it won't stop me!" Joseph screamed. The kunai was in his arm. "You leave me no choice." Kyoshiro jumped back and dodged sword next swing. "Detonate." It exploded, but Kyoshiro didn't use enough power to kill the man, but the explosion broke his arm.

"Damn it." Joseph fell to the ground. "How did you do, that boy?" Kyoshiro looked at him. "It is of no importance because I am not going to kill you." "What, but I attempted to take you life." Joseph said in pain. "I will not kill you but you cannot stay on this ship." Kyoshiro said while tying the man up. "I am in charge of this ship, now, Joseph," "You will go in my old boat...I will send you back to the port I just came from." "I have attend to your wounds so you will survive and I left enough food for you in the boat." Kyoshiro put the man in the boat he had came from and pushed the boat back the last port he came from. When the man was far enough where he couldn't get back on the boat, Kyoshiro threw a kunai and cut the ropes that tied Joseph.

"That was successful." Kyoshiro thought to himself. Kyoshiro set sail to the next port as he planned in the ship that he had aquired.

A clear blue sky, and not a single cloud in sight, as far as the eye could see. Sakura smiled, shielding his eyes from the bright sunlight. It was going to be a lovely day. No more rain, no more bad weather. He'd had enough of that on his journey.

He'd left home for nearly a year now, in search of his real parents. Wandering aimlessly, from town to town, sleeping under the clear sky, when the money he had wasn't enough to buy him a humble bed in an inn. Sometimes, he'd find shelter for the night in an abandoned barn, or cottage...

He missed his father so much. He could still remember his voice, his face, when he told him he'd decided to go off, looking for the ones who'd tossed him away, like an unwanted object. The man begged him, he pleaded with him not to venture on such a foolish quest, for the chances of him ever learning the truth about his past were practically non existent.

"All he had to give me was this" Sakura whispered to himself, pulling out the old blanket in which the merchant had found him wrapped in, on the beach. There were no markings, no insignia, no letters of any kind, or at least nothing he could discern. The fabric was simply far to worn out. It had lost its usefulness a long time ago, and to anyone else, it would have meant nothing. Well, perhaps a good means to start a camp fire. But not to him. He carefully unfolded the old blanket, staring at it, as if it were a map. In a sense, it was just that, a map, a path leading to his origins. But a blank map it was, seeing how time had taken its toll on it. A worthless rag, that was how anyone else would have described it, and yet this worthless rag was priceless to Sakura, just as it was priceless to the merchant, who'd taken him in as his own son...

"Well, standing around, and looking at this blanket isn't going to get me closer to where I want to be" the young man said, and put his most prized possession into his back pack, heading off to who knows where. He'd been wandering through that forest for quite some time. Had he bothered to ask for directions at the last settlement he'd passed by earlier that morning, he wouldn't be struggling to find his way out of the woods. His supplies were running out, and he needed to find a place where he could restock on food and fresh water. He could try to eat or drink less, so hi rations would last longer, but even so, he knew they wouldn't last forever. Maybe a week, maybe ten days, but no longer than that. He needed to find a town, or a village, and soon...

While he was walking along, trying to figure out which way he should go, he heard some rustling in the bushes, and turned around to see what it was. Turns out it was just a curious baby deer. Sakura felt relieved. He'd instinctively reached out for his bow, ready to defend himself if necessary. The deer took a few steps back, as if it were ready to make a run for it.
"Aw, don't go" Sakura called out to the animal. "I'm not going to harm you, it's just that you startled me." But the baby deer took off, running like the wind...

(Freestyle, yuh!)

Several leagues away at one particularly rowdy port town, in the shady corner of one rowdy bar, Diabhal sat looking very out of place, his legs crossed elegantly and a gem encrusted cup of tea in his hands.
Directly in front of him sat a fellow as undesirable to Diabhal as this monstrous little pub, a large, red faced man with a huge unkempt moustache sprawled across his face who was evidently feeling quite poorly, judging by his slumped posture and frequent fits of coughing.

Diabhal flexed his lean fingers around the edge of his teacup, pausing just long enough to give a good impression and smiling, a polite, curt smile that one wore with strangers.
"I assume you brought it? Do say yes. I didn't crawl to the back end of nowhere in the miserable corner of the world to be disappointed, did I?"
The man smirked, causing his moustache to contort spectacularly as he placed a wicker case on the table between them, embroidered quite nicely and locked with a huge and somewhat unnecessary padlock.
"Indeed sir!" he growled, causing another coughing fit,"however, as you are well aware, I can only trade for something of equal value, as is my trade"
He then proceeded to rub his hands together gleefully, causing his knuckles to crack audibly, much to Diabhal's disgust.
"Yes yes. Of course, I am painfully aware of your trade, and as promised, something of extreme value."
With that, Diabhal held out a hand (weighed down by various rings) and displayed what seemed to be a tiny glass bottle holding a purple liquid.
The man squinted at the thing with much skepticism and began to frown angrily.
"And? Just what is this!?" he asked with indignation, rubbing his nose in a fury.
"Oh? You don't know?" cooed Diabhal with a dismissive shake of his head.
"Why... That is a very rare antidote from the southernmost and very deadly regions of this continent, it has many uses, but of course, mostly it is used to counteract the worst poisons known to man."
The man gripped the edges of the wicker case defensively, drawing it nearer to himself.
"What!? Poison! HA! What kind of poison?"
Diabhal looked out the window absent mindedly, closing his hand into a fist and hiding the bottle from view, before coughing politely.
"Ahem. Poison rather like the one found in your midmorning breakfast, you may have noticed it tasted unusual, but I suspect you put it down to old age. You know you really shouldn't eat porridge every morning Mister Davren, it makes you rather predictable, but then it's all your dear wife knows how to make, hm?"
Diabhal smiled with a childish yet triumphant glee, and drummed his fingers on the table expectantly.
The man appeared ready to give a shocked answer, but instead he burst into another fit of coughing, this time laced with blood, and realising the urgency of his situation he quickly relinquished control of the case and key.
"Wonderful!" beamed Diabhal as he took them willingly, before somewhat reluctantly handing the glass bottle to the dying man.
The merchant hurriedly downed the bottle of purple liquid and once it appeared to have no affect he collapsed, and spent the next five minutes quietly dying below the table.
Diabhal frowned to himself as if suddenly remembering something, but he soon recovered and took a sip from his cup.
"Ah! The Ribena here is Divine isn't it?"
Putting his feet up on the still warm corpse
he had a good long think about his next move, before finally remembering why he had came here.
"Ah!" he said happily as he pulled the case of the late Mister Davren towards him, and took the key in his hand.
Bursting with anticipation, he inserted the key in the lock, and was soon rewarded with a look inside. It contained little more than a thirty piece dining set, complete with a multitude of decorative tea cups, and pots, each one with a unique design.

"FANTASTIC!" he blurted, showing a rare burst of genuine emotion as he spilt juice everywhere.
Perhaps it wouldn't be such a dull day after all.

Somewhere to the South of this little mess, A large ironclad Naval Vessel made way toward the shores. A couple Marines stood at the bow dressed in the standard uniform. Each of their caps had the word 'MARINE' sprawled across the front in big black letters like some terrible catchphrase.

As the silence progressed on the rest of the ship, Conversation suddenly was made among the crewmen.
One of the Marines turned to his comrade with a curious expression. "Have you heard from the Admiral yet?" The man shook his head in reply. "I think he was in his quarters with the pirate listing last I heard, We're making a stop soon for his-"

"COLA! WHERE IS MY COLA?!" A voice bellowed from the gallery. The two officers became dead silent and straightened up, looking off into the blue ocean in front of them and observing the cool, damp wind an the soft roll of the ocean waves ...

"Hey, Hey dude? Did you not hear me? WHERE IS MY COLA." The Vice Admiral yelled at the row of his crew watching them scramble and bump into each other in the process of looking for the ever illusive case of the precious 'Koke-Cola'. One brave crew member turned to stare into his reflection in the Admirals sun glasses before he found words falling from his lips.

"Sir... We're out of your Soda."

The whole crew paused, Everyone stopped breathing and their eyes darkened in fear. This never happened before! What were they to do?! The luck would surely turn on them now, The ride had been so peaceful before this incident and now they were all going to DI-

"Well, Shit." Jan said, smoothing back some unruly strands of his inky black hair. His lanky form shifted a little to lean on the railing of his ship, raising up his glasses to look into the distance with honey- ...Rather, syrup colored eyes.

"See that nasty blob of land in the distance? Looks kinda like a zit?" The crew nodded reluctantly. "We stop there and get more Cola, Then we move on. You feel me?" They nodded again and when the Admiral smiled, a reassurance washed over the men. Another incident happily avoided...

"Now move this thing faster," Jan kicked the deck to make his point. "I need my Cola or I'll chuck every one of you sorry bastards off this vessel." Hearing an obedient 'Yes Sir!' Jan felt it was time to return to his quarters and continue those pirate bounty papers.

And by continue papers, He meant sleeping.

The youngling had proven itself to be quite a proficient runner. Sakura was forced to give his very best, just to stay on its trail, as the baby deer rushed, faster than a speeding bullet, through that lush, green world of trees, plants and bushes.
The animal was quick, elusive, and nimble, continuously trying to shake him off, but it would come to find soon enough, that Sakura was a very persistent man, and not the kind to give up, once he'd set his mind on something. He had, of course, no intention of harming the creature. He simply felt that pursuing it was preferable to wondering around, in search of a road, or path, leading to the civilized world...

The baby deer sprang over an old tree stump in its path, then kept going. Sakura came to realize his little game was pointless. Sure, he could chase his friend until they'd both pass out from fatigue, but where would that get him? Nowhere, so he decided to put an end to the chase, and take some time to rest his legs, before continuing on his journey.
He quickened his pace, rapidly approaching the tree stump, and using it as a means of propelling himself high into the air, in what was probably the highest jump he'd ever made in his life. For a few moments he felt as free as a bird, with that light summer breeze rushing through his long fair hair. But he was also aware of the fact that what goes up, must also come down. And he was no bird, no matter how much he'd wished he was...
And what better ending, fit for such a spectacular jump, than an equally spectacular landing in an old oak tree. It was a good thing for his impeccable equilibrium, otherwise he would have ended up breaking every single bone in his body.

Funny thing, the baby deer stopped running, and approached the tree in which Sakura had landed, looking up at him. "So you have returned, young one" Sakura giggled, sitting comfortably on a thick branch, a good six feet above the ground. "My athletic skills seem to have piqued your interest. So what's your story, my furry friend?" he asked the deer. He felt quite silly, talking to an animal which clearly couldn't answer his questions, well, at least no in a way he'd understand.
"So, I guess you're the strong, and silent type, and just a little bit curious" Sakura decided, leaning his head against the tree, and closing his eyes for a short rest. The youngling circled the tree a few times, then decided to lie down on the grass, and wait.
"Well, you'll have to leave, sooner or later, because you and I are not going the same way, I'm afraid" Sakura mumbled, aware of the deer's presence. He then opened his eyes, and decided to climb even higher, perhaps to the top. Maybe from that elevation he'd get a better and wider view of the road ahead of him.

'I wish you could see this" Sakura exclaimed mesmerized by the exceptional view. He was staring into infinity, above an ocean of green leafs, spreading out in all directions for miles on end. There was nothing else to see, but he suspected there had to be a settlement somewhere in that area. That tree trunk he'd passed by, was a clear indication of that. No one in their right mind would venture out in the middle of nowhere, simply because they needed wood. Even if they’d cut the tree into pieces, they still wouldn’t have been able to carry it around for days or weeks. But if there was a small village, or a town near by, how come he couldn’t see any smoke, or any other signs of daily human activities for that matter?

“I don’t know about you, my friend” he said to the baby deer, but I have to get going, otherwise I’ll never find a place to rest, and fill my empty tummy” he told the deer, then carefully sprang into the neighboring tree, and so on, climbing to the very top each time to see what lay ahead of him. The baby deer was now tailing him.
"If you could only talk, would you show me the way out of this emerald labyrinth?" Sakura asked the deer, knowing his question would go unanswered. He was actually surprised to see how the animal froze for a few moments gently sniffing around, so as to catch a scent, he figured. Then, the youngling took off once again. Did it want Sakura to follow?
"Hey, not so fast there, friend! I only have two legs!" Sakura shouted, jumping in another tree to keep up with the deer's insane pace. He barely had enough time to land on a branch, having to jump again only moments later, otherwise he would have lost the deer's trail for good.

(Monsterrrr I think I'm in love with Jan lol.)

It was raining. And it was wet. It was cold, and it was wet, and it was raining and Vander had been stuck in this damn tree hallow all day long. "Damn it." he said letting out a frustrated huff, glaring out of the tree at the dark gray clouds and the torrential downpour they released as though they had did him some kind of personal injustice. Vander had been on his way to the next town, intel he had managed to gather had told him that his newest target -a pirate named Sweeny Todd- currently resided there.

The day had started out nice and clear, not a cloud in the sky, nothing had been there that would have hinted to this deluge the Vander was now forced to endure. He had decided to fly to his destination, spread his wings and revel in the afternoon heat as his scales absorbed the warmth of sun, that was one of the things that he enjoyed most about his powers. And then it happened, literally out of nowhere storm clouds had gathered and began to expel their load and Vander, caught off guard was forced to find emergency shelter."I was warned about the unpredictable weather patterns, but this is ridiculous."

He crossed his arms and grumbled as he listened to the cacophony outside. He hated he rain and the cold, he wasn't sure if it was due to the coldblooded creature inside him or not, all he knew is that he felt miserable now, like he always did when it poured. And that coupled with the fact that he was drenched while transformed was a double whammy. All he could do was sit there in the middle of the forest and recover until the rain stopped.

Reaching into his pack he pulled out another thin blanket and wrapped it around himself, he would have to make sure to buy a better one the next time he had the chance. He sighed, time seemed to pass by so slowly, this cold isolation reminded him of those lonely days he spent after the destruction of his village. Wandering aimlessly through the mountains, having nowhere to go back to, no family, no friends, all by his lonesome in some forgotten corner of the world. Vander shook his head and snapped out of his reverie. He wasn't alone anymore, hadn't been since he met Master Lucci. The man had been his savior: he had taken him in, a complete and total stranger, given him food and shelter, helped him deal with the pain and shock of losing his family, and eventually taught him the necessary skills he would need to defend himself when the time came to set out on his own.

He reached into his pack again and pulled out a sheet of paper, trying to distract himself from this train of thought. Unrolling it, he frowned as he looked upon the face of the pirate who would be the next person he hauled to the marines. "Hmph, what kind of name is Sweeny Todd anyway? Doesn't sound like the name of a dangerous person." The appearance of the man on the bounty was just as deceptive as his name, he didn't look particularly threatening at all, though the bounty was 5,000,000 belli, slightly higher than average. "Well, lies and deception are what pirates are best at." Vander said bitterly, roughly stuffing the paper back into the pack and closing his eyes determined to sleep through the storm.

Kyoshiro was sailing his newly 'aquired boat' and was taking inventory on the things on the ship. "Let's see..1 barrel of grain..2 barrels of fish..10 barels of wine...12 barrels of dried meat..and 1 barrel of fruit.." "Alright then so taking this ship was a the right call..I can sell the barrels of wine for about 200 berries a piece and the dried meat for 150 berries a piece..so 9 barrel of wine would be about 1800 and 10 barells of dried meat would be 1500 so then I would have 3300 berries.." He thought about this as he inspected the rest of the ship to see what was on it. "A decent-sized kitchen, and there is enough room for me to put a small forge on here." Kyoshiro needed one so he could keep production of his kunai and shuriken. "Well I should have enough money after this to start production on it and buy some more food..mainly water.." He thought. Kyoshiro could see the port he was traveling to as he came out of the kitchen. "So here, my journey truly starts."

Kyoshiro had finally made it to port. "At last, I made it...." Kyoshiro thought to himself. Kyoshiro pulled into port. "Hello!!" He yelled to the people on port. Kyoshiro let down the achor. "My name is Kyoshiro and I wish to talk to manager of this port." Kyoshiro said. "Yes, sir, he is down that way." "Allow us to get him." One of the men ran down to get the manager. "Yes, how may I help you?" He asked Kyoshiro. "I am here to sell some merchandise I have..I possess 9 barrels of wine and 10 barrels of dried meat..so how much will you give me for this." "I will give you 4000 berries for the load.." Kyoshiro expected to get at least 3000 bells for it but this was more than he hoped for. "Yes, I accept the offer." Kyoshiro said with a big grin. The manager and Kyoshiro with and carried out the deal.

"Alright, I have 4000 bells so time to do some shopping." Kyoshiro went to the different shops and bought some more supplies. "Alright I have 2 barrels of fresh water and I bought me a anvil, a hammer, a some more paper, and a sharping rock." He thought to himself after this he had only 1000 bells left and he decided that he should keep it, in case of an emergency. Kyoshiro boarded back on to his ship and sailed off in search of information. "I need to find me a crew soon..I can't keep going around by myself..hiring a navigator is my first agenda.." Kyoshiro could sail pretty well, but didn't know the sea as well as professional would. He decided to explore this new port for a while.

That deer was pretty energetic. Sakura couldn't help wondering if it would eventually stop, and give him a chance to rest for a while. He'd been chasing the little bugger for quite some time now, and he was starting to feel like a primate, jumping from tree to tree. For all he knew, the deer could be heading even deeper, into the heart of the forest. So, by the time this mad running around were to finally come to an end, he might just find himself to be more lost than he was an hour ago.
But it was a risk he decided to take, seeing how he’d already been chasing the deer around like a lunatic for quite some time.

“If you could only tell me where it is we’re going to in such a hurry, maybe I’d be more willing to follow you” Sakura said to the youngling. The deer stopped and ran back to the tree he was in. It was wiggling it’s short tail, and jumping around. It was either very scared, or very excited, but Sakura couldn’t tell. Perhaps, it was its way of saying “It’s not much further now”.

And to his surprise, only a few minutes later, they came across another deer. This one was taller and older than the one he’d met, and it appeared to be looking for something, or someone.
The instant the baby deer saw it, it slowed to a gradual halt, then blinked a few times, only to resume his crazy running, towards the one of its kind, this time. It began wiggling its tail, and circling the older deer. Could it have been the baby’s mother?
The older deer allowed the youngling to do its dance for a while, then, when it finally stopped, it started sniffing it, probably trying to see if it was indeed its ofspring, Sakura thought. The man was relieved to observe that the female deer had recognized the little rascal as her own.
“So, you ran away, you naughty infant” Sakura giggled, as he started climbing up to the top, He made another visual survey of the area, in the hopes that he might find something out there.

“Hm, that’s strange” the man muttered, reaching for his field glass. He extended it, gazing through its powerful lenze. There was something odd about the view ahead. The neverending ocean of green leafes seemed to be rippling more than it should be, just a few miles ahead. Water was the first thing that came to his mind. But it could just as easily have been a mere optical illusion, created by the unbearable heat. Either way, he had to see for himself.
He climbed back down to say goodbye to his friends. “I’m afraid we have to part company here. But thank you, little one, and you be good and listen to your mother, okay?”
The baby deer tilted his head, and for a second there Sakura actually thought it could understand him. Then, his mother let him know it was time to go back home, by gently pushing him from behind.
“It’s alright, go on” Sakura smiled, as he urged the youngling to listen to its mother. He then watched, as they ran off, back to the heart of the woods that was their home,
“I just love happy endings” he wistled, putting his field glass back in its place, and getting ready to make yet another jump.

On and on he kept swinging from tree to tree, and as he got closer, he’d look through his trusty field glass to be sure that his eyes hadn’t tricked him into seeing what he’d wanted to see. But it was as real as everything around him. It was water, perhaps it was the sea, and maybe there was also a town near by, though it was strange how the waves seemed to begin right where the line of trees ended. But as Sakura got closer, he realised why it only seemed that way. The entire forest was settled on a high plateau, which ended abruptly, almost 100 meters above what appeared to be a small bay. And in that small bay, Sakura finally found what he’d been looking for all along: a town. But not just any town, as it was quite large, and well developed. It even had its own harbor. Some of the ships were docked, others were coming in, while others were leaving, no doubt carying all sorts of wonders, from fruit and vegetables, to the finest and most expensive silk, and fabrics, china, pottery, jewlery.
“I’m feeling kind of lucky today” Sakura giggled. He was no longer doomed to wonder around and starve to death…

The huge ship tore through the water like it was nothing more then a sheet of paper while it neared its destination. The 'zit sized' bit of land grew larger and larger while the port of the village came into view ... Leveling up into a mole, one could say.

"We're almost there." One of the Marines said, Waving over another crew mate who'd been staring off into space. "You! Go get the Admiral and tell h-"

"I'm awake, And FINALLY! What did that take, Like ....five whole minutes? Y'all are getting mad shabby." Jan stretched his arms and cracked each of his fingers, walking over to the ships railing and looking toward the little village not much more then a couple miles away now. "Slow it down, Bring it in." He shouted, The Navy men did just that.

Instead of peacefully cruising into the port, They slammed against the largest dock and broke five of the planks, Knocking a little group of ducks into the seawater only to have them all resurface and squawk angrily at the dismounting crew. Jan raised his sunglasses and helped the birds out of the shallow water with an apologetic grin.
"Yeah, Yeah I'm sorry about that, He needs to re-new his license and shit, you know how it goes." The ducks seemed satisfied and waddled off while Jan lead his crew of two Marines toward the town.

"Now we split up, Each of you be back here in ten with a six pack of my juice and we bounce .... And fuck it, Get a thingy of Kool-Aid while you're at it, Stuff is good too when I don't need my sugar-gie." Obedient as ever, The Marines saluted their Admiral and shot off toward the town, Jan following on their heels while he examined the store fronts of the shoddy sea-side village, Judging which would have his cherished brand.

Upon find one 'Flashy-Mart', He deemed it appropriate and ventured inside.

Sakura put his shoes back on, as he was getting ready to enter town. After he used his whip as a lasso to climb down that steep path, he decided to indulge himself, by walking barefoot along the edge of the sandy beach, and feel the cool waves gently rushing over his feet, and washing away the golden sand, along with all sorts of sea shells and algae parts. The netyre bay would have made a lovely tourist attraction had it been used by the locals. Sadly, it appeared to be deserted. Not one soul on the beach, on that sunny day, and at that hour.
"Oh, well, no time to waste. We have to get food, and water, and other useful trinkets" Sakura thought, and took a few moments to wash his feet, before putting his shoes back on. So there he was, amongst his own kind once again. But he was the only one who appeared to be thrilled by seeing his fellow brethren. Because everyone else seemed to ignore him, going about their daily business. Nobody had neither the time, nor the disposition to take a few moments to welcome a stranger.
Sakura however didn't take offense, as he was quite alright with being ignored by others. "Off we go to find the market" he said, and made his way through the crowded streets, asking for directions, whenever he found someone who looked willing to give them...

He was quite content with what he'd gotten for himself. Fresh fruit, and vegetables, some more tea, he even found a new pot to replace the old dented one he was thinking of selling for scrap. It wouldn't have gotten him much money, probably one, maybe three belli, but he'd take any offer he could get, because he really needed money on his quest.
He was just about to ask someone where he might be able to sell it, when he saw a poster of sorts on a wall.
"Now what do we have here?" he muttered, approaching it. It was a reward, and quite a handsome one. 2,000,000 belli. It may have been nothing more than pocket money, to other people, but to Sakura, who was used to receiving up to 5,000 belli for his troubles, it was a veritable gold mine.
"For more information, please go to the village hall." Sakura read the fine print out loud. "Well, then, that's settled. All I have to do is find the village hall. Nothing to it!"
