In many ways the character is a pleasant adorable funny yet very attractive traditionalist like Kotetsu Kaburagi.

In work it was the day like any other. His favourite computers with addition of people he worked with. He had very good memory so he remembered all the people he met, even those he met only once.

When he finished his job John went home to change in some more casual clothes. Looked on the watch and then one last time in the mirror to check if everything was in order. He just hoped the date won't be a hassle like another time. His friend Louise from time to time played as matchmaker and she could be such a pain in the ass.. so he just said 'yes' to get rid of her.

"No means no..", said John pushing away the other man.
Yes the other was handsome and all but he just wasn't feeling like going with him and he couldn't understand that. John was grabbed hard by his wrist and it made him wince.
And that is what I call a hassle..

Gary yawned, stretching in his chair and rubbing his tired eyes. He loved his work, but at times it could get a bit monotonous. Nothing like an evening ahead to help one relax.

Humming and slinging his jacket over his shoulder, he made his way out of the building, waving a goodbye to the doorman and receptionist. He stopped suddenly, when just across the street, in front of a restaurant, he caught sight of two people.

One of them was familiar, a guy who worked in the same place that he did. The other one was obviously a date gone wrong. Really wrong.

Gary crossed the street and approached the men cautiously. "Something...wrong here?"

John sighed inside his head when he recognized Gary. He had very good memory so even he met him only once he remembered him. Maybe because he was a really handsome guy it was rather difficult to forget him. John didn't thought about it enough to be sure and besides he marked other almost immediately as someone who was first - out of his reach, secondly even if he was not John considered himself too quiet to fit such a colorful character.
Now he felt stress build up inside but he just looked at Gary and then on his insistent date.
"I believe we work with each other?", he asked in casual tone of voice while inside he was on the verge of panic. "Hm.. We had just.. a little of misunderstanding."
His date, rather normal looking man, seemed to understand his situation and let go of John's wrist.
"Y-yes.. Nothing to be worried..", said the man, backing off.
"Yes. So.. goodbye."
The man hasitated but nodded his head and walked away. John looked now at Gary.
"Well. Thank you for being worried enough to ask if we were ok. Have a good night, mister Kaburagi."

Gary watched as the other man hurried away. "Err, that guy was weird. Sure hope everything was actually ok. And yeah...I guess we do work together."

He scratched his beard a little. "Uh, sure, good night. And not a problem." He wondered how he should offer to help a man who was on the verge of being molested. "You need a taxi? Or a drop home? I think the office cars are still running."

John looked on the man for few moments without saying anything. Should he accept the offer or not? Maybe there was a second meaning behind the kind offer?
"You have a car?", he just asked, thinking.

Gary looked a little sheepish. "No, not really, I left mine at the repair shed. If you wish I could drop you home in a cab though." It really would be the right thing to do, especially after the incident with that jerk.

"Well... That sounds... reasonable?", he said in uncertain tone of voice. "Ok. So shall we go?"
He just wanted to get home and hide himself under sheets.

Gary nodded, looking concerned. He called a cab & ushered the younger man inside, before getting in himself.

"Where do you stay?"
