Definitions of Words

In answering a recent post, it occurred to me that it might be a good idea to have a thread somewhere on this forum that is all about defining terms like "manga", "doujinshi", "hentai", and so on. This could be both for people to ask what a certain word means, and for people to give their definitions. There are quite a number of new people here that may not be up to speed on the jargon. Just as a personal example: until recently, if a site said that "guro" is not allowed, I wouldn't have had a clue about what it was I'm not supposed to be posting.

I would start such a thread myself, but I'm fairly new at this game myself, and don't trust that I have the meaning of the terms quite solid in my own mind yet.

l was going to say google, however rob beat me to the punch.. tho l do suggest the urban dictionary, admittedly some of the entries are shit, there are some that will explain some of the most commonly used net lingo.

Sorry, but "Google is your friend" is not really an answer. What I meant was, having a thread here, on this site, for newbies to refer to. Still, if everyone would prefer to do it the hard way, who am I to argue?

actually google is a good answer, because google search results tend to provide a good answer on pretty much all search terms, be they for finding definitions of words or otherwise.

I kind of like this idea? Just as someone who is not at all active... I think that people will have an easier time using this site if they do have definitions. It makes people more knowledgeable (and thus, better contributors), and would be a good way of helping newer members.
