Retired automotive executive requires hired help from July 1 to August 31. Applicant must be 16, male, in perfect physical condition and love the outdoors. Position is in wilderness area bordering the Hiawatha National Forest in upper Michigan. Cottage is primitive with no private rooms, no internet, no phone and no TV. Applicant must love outdoor living. There will be no social life, no girl friends. Local wildlife includes stinging insects, snakes, wolves and bears. Sunsets over the lake are beautiful from the secluded cottage and local creek has sparkling clean water. I spend my summers painting and shooting portraits, hiking, boating and camping. Preference will be give to applicant with demonstrated endurance, in sports such as the triathlon. In addition to personal care and posing for portraits, there will be hard work including chopping wood, paddling, carrying backpacks, cooking and cleaning. The selected candidate must not smoke, be drug-free and will agree to a comprehensive medical examination as a condition for employment. Transportation, work clothes, food and lodging will be provided. Pay is $2000 upon signing the work contract plus $4000 upon completion on August 31. Reply by May first to Box 9966.
