Jani was walking to his locker and yawned. His raven black hair was in his usual messy style. He was wearing his favorite band shirt and a pair of black jeans. His tail wagged slowly as he opened his locker. He was a little irritated from being woken up from the best dream of his life. He tried to shake the thoughts of his dream from his head but couldn't. He overheard a couple of people talking.

"I heard a new student is coming here." One of them said.

"Ohhh. I wonder what their like?" The other said.

Jani's ears perked up. He grabbed his books and shut his locker. He started thinking what this person was like.

Walking up to the school was the new student. Dressed in baggy clothes, a knit hat, and boots, all but the boots in light colors. He had long blonde hair, adorable ears and a tail, and a super sweet smile on his face. He was absolutely adorable, his features delicate.

The neko hummed happily, walking down the hall. Checking the slip of paper with his locker on it, he looked around, not noticing the handsome neko nearby.

The boy looked up, and blushed at the handsome cat in front of him. He quickly smiled, however, his ears twitching a little in the holes cut out from the hat for them.
"Hi Jani. My name's Markus. Markus Nekomata! And yeah, I'm brand new here. Do uh, you know where this locker is?" the younger kitten said, showing him the slip of paper. The locker was right next to Jani's.

Jani looked at the paper and nodded. "Y-Yeah. I'll show you follow me." He shyly smiled and walked to the locker. "Here it is." He looked at the locked and blushed. 'His locker is right next to mine.' He smiled a bit and stood against his locker. "Do you need any help finding your classes?"

Markus smiled, putting his stuff into the locker. Once he was done, he fished out another piece of paper, this one his class schedule. He again handed it to Jani.
"Can you, please?" he asked cutely. It turned out the most of their classes were the same. Markus, while below Jani in grade, was smart enough to take upperclassmen classes. The only one they didn't have together was an advanced class that usually only the smartest seniors could take.

Jani looked at the paper and blushed a deeper red. 'He's in all of my classes except for one.' He looked at Markus and nodded. "Ok just follow me." He smiled a bit and walked to his first class. "So where did you go to school before you came here?"

"It was a nice school but... When they realized I was gay, everybody turned really cold." he said, his ears drooping a little.
"I don't really live close. My parents are trying to find a new house that's closer, but we can't afford it." he addedd, with a small sigh.
