Victor turned his attention back to Lance and his expression remained serious and stoic. "Of course...the son of my closest ally deserves the upmost protection. I promise to keep my closest eye upon him during the event." he said with the most sincere tone he could muster, even bowing his head a little to the human king.

Lance smiled.
"Brilliant! I believe we have no other business to discuss. Why don't we relax a bit in the court's drawing room. That way, we can talk as friends and Mason may relax a bit."

Mason soon got bored drawing designs and looked up. His eyes examined Victor's face. He blushed a bit, always having thought Victor was sexy. To hide his red cheeks, he turned away and leaned against his father.

"That sounds quite lovely, Lance." Victor said as he slowly rose before removing his cape to hand to one of his councilmen. "Go stand by the carriage until I need you." he said as he waved him off with a white gloved hand, then he turned his attention back to Lance and Mason as he smiled casually.

Lance turned to his and Mason's guards and dismissed them. Though, Mason's guard was a bit hesitant.

Mason saw this and smiled at the guard softly.
"It's okay." he assured quietly before following the two leaders to the drawing room.
When they arrived, Mason immediately laid down in front of the dire place and took off his heavy cloak. He stretched like a cat and closed his eyes as he relaxed. He didn't care that Victor would see.

Lance chuckled as his son showed his true nature. He checked his son over to make sure he was okay before sitting on the provided couch.
"I imagine he won't be awake for very long."

Victor observed Mason's behavior, a side he'd never seen of the shy boy, and he couldn't help but chuckle a little at the display as he walked with Lance over to the couch, leaving the boy to himself. "I don't think I've ever seen him like that...it's oddly adorable."

"It usually takes him much longer to warm up to people enough to completely relax. I think it's easier for you because I trust you and he knows that. Though, if you think this is adorable, you should see him the nights he can't sleep. He'll often wonder into my room and cuddle up to me while I'm sleeping. I'll wake up with a bundle of cuteness on my chest." Lance chuckled.

Mason ended up falling asleep quickly in front of the warm fire. It wasn't that comfortable on the floor, though, so he rolled around a lot.

Victor noticed the boy was stirring around on the floor, so he decided to do a kind thing and stood up with a pillow from the couch and brought it over to lay it by the prince's head for him to find. He wanted to just pick up the lad and put him in his lap, but he didn't think Lance would appreciate it...or maybe he would, but Victor didn't want to take a chance.

From here, he got a clear scent of the boy. He never got this close. It was such a sweet scent, the kind of scent you always smell when entering a pastry store or a bakery. He stayed kneeling there for what seemed like, to him, hours before finally shifting to stand up and make his way back to the couch.

Lance watched the man as he pushed a pillow to him.
"Thank you for that." he said.

Mason found the pillow in sleep and curled up against it before falling in to an even deeper sleep.

"You're very welcome. He just looked so...pitiful like that." Victor replied as he continued to watch Mason before he turned his attention to Lance.

Lance nodded. He examined Victor as the vampire leader watched his son. He had seen the looks the immortal had been giving Mason for the past few months, including now. He smirked, deciding to mess with the younger man.
"Yes he did... You know..I'm quite happy Mason chose males instead of females. He's much too feminine himself to be with a woman. That's why I have picked the perfect fiancé for him. You may know him. His name is Addison Lor."

Addison Lor was a long time rival of Victor's. His parents had tried to overthrow his when they were younger and Addison had tried to follow in their footsteps. So far, Addison had succeeded in taking land that Victor wanted and many of the man's love interests. He also liked to gloat about the fact that he was highest in court next to Victor.

Lance would never let Addison take his precious heir. Mason was much to sweet and gentle for the man,but he wanted to see how Victor would react.
