Just for starters, I think a 'power bottom' or 'dominant uke' gallery would be a fairly easy task to achieve. I have come across a decent number of such lovely pics on this wonderful site, & they could be archived under that. I just couldn't resist and snagged most of them in my favourites.

Its not that I disagree - its just that its very hard to differentiate these pics between others.

Unlike the feminine uke's who have a fairly distinct appearance, its quite difficult to tell when an Uke is 'power-bottoming' and what makes that different from a blowjob/anal picture if all told the only difference is a little bit of a 'look' in the characters eyes?

The reason the galleries run to the two extremes (Girly Ukes and Dominant Males in the BDSM gallery) is because they're the most obvious to identify and that pictures are drawn with that detail as the main particular.

Well, I had found some pictures of "power-ukes" before, even here. But they aren't that many

LOL believe me, blushing most definitely isn't uke-specific. There are several semes who also get flushed with loving attention. And not all ukes have to blush like surprised virgins.

Yeah you're right... Speaking of sexual arousal (loving attention ), isn't it strange, that usually
ukes, look like they're in pain? Mostly, in yaoi, not in bara... maybe that's because yaoi is created
for women, and maybe japanese/asian women have expressions like that when having sex so
it is easier for a japanese woman to identify with the uke character, right?

To be honest, that expression of pain isn't always actually predominantly pain. It's a grimace of pleasure. The grimace may look like the sex is painful (which it may be to some extent), but it's also largely due to pleasure.

Also, I wouldn't say that women who love yaoi are only meant to identify with the ukes. Of course there are several cases where women do end up identifying with the ukes, but there are also several cases where women identify with both characters in varying degrees, and several cases where women identify largely with the semes.

Because this is guyXguy, not guyXgirl.

Being a girl myself, I really don't like prejudices like automatically equating ukes with women.

I didn't say it was pain, I said it looks like pain... also, i still think most, not all, japanese (!) women identify with the uke characters.

One thing I'm not, is prejudiced (that really hurt my feelings ). The fact is, that the stereotypical uke, has so many "girly" characteristics, that it's difficult to say that the (female) author, doesn't create them for identification purposes. In the end, the woman that'll read the manga, will identify with both characters, sure, because this guyxguy love, becomes ideal and for some women a "love model"... of course some women like the guyxguy action xD .

I'm sure, there are many cases of women, I don't have a survey with me to know them all. So don't be prejudiced, about someone else's prejudices xD
