Wulfric entered the large chamber and flipped a switch before turning forward to watch as row after row of crimson lights lit up, revealing rows of unconscious bodies lying on medical beds hooked to life support to keep them breathing and well hydrated. He walked down the aisle where no bodies were lying as he overlooked a specified order he had received from a friend of his employers, Ivan Gorge, who requested he find two individuals who looked identical to play them off as artificial twins, twins that looked related, but were not.

He replied to the request with a proposition, Wulfric would choose two individuals in his stock that fit the description of nekos that Ivan would like to have in his possession and perform the necessary surgeries so that they would look alike. Ivan was quite pleased that Wulfric would be willing to come in on a day off to do such a thing. He had the order, all he had to do was roll them into his surgery room and begin operating. Proper recover time would depend on the procedures he would have to perform.

The German surgeon did have two individuals in mind, however. They arrived just this morning, fresh from the streets and the genetic engineering he had to do to grow feline ears and tails and other feline attributes to their human bodies was a quite impressive success. He decided to use them. They were not hard to find. One was a platinum blonde and the other a dark brunette. He rolled them into the surgical room and hooked them up to machines to measure heart rates and blood pressure before gathering his tools and he used a black marker to mark the areas that needed adjusting.

The human that would become Licht breathed gently, deeply unconsious in a state of void, his memories become twisted as they slowly began to disappear.

Wulfric removed the black marker and placed it on the steel table with the cap on, then he walked away from the two unconscious males and turned on a radio that played the German national anthem, an orchestral cover, then returned to begin after tying on a mask to his face and placing thick latex gloves on his hands. The first thing that needed to be done, a tattoo removal. The brunette, more muscular of the two had a tattoo on his left arm, and Wulfric didn't have the time to set up a laser treatment.

Instead, he picked up his thin scalpel blade and pierced the skin around the tattoo. Of course, he injected the brunette with something that would slow down his blood flow and clot the vessels around the wound so he wouldn't have to worry about him bleeding out too much. Removing skin was easy. Skin grafting to replace the lost flesh was time consuming, but it would be worth it in the end. Wulfric placed the skin he removed on a platter to be preserved and covered the wound like you would a burn.

Then he moved over to the blonde who had a piercing. That had to go and had to heal closed. Wulfric gently undid the bells and removed the metal pole that pierced the blonde's left nipple and placed it on the table before closing that wound that began to bleed as soon as the pole was removed.

The white-haired German then moved onto the more difficult procedures, facial modification. Wulfric cut into the brunette's nose, slicing off some cartilage in order to resemble it more to the blonde's. Then, he opened the brunette's flesh around his cheek bones and filed them so that they were not so broad. Bone filing was simple, but it took a delicate hand and precision was key. He used a simple filing tool strong enough for human bone.

The boy's memories began to get more and more shifted, as he forgot even his name.

Next was teeth filing. Their fangs were different lengths and they had to be equal. He used a separating tool to open the blonde's lips and he thoroughly filed them to the length and thickness that Ivan wanted, then did the same to the brunette. He cut open the flesh of the brunette's chin and filed that as well of its broadness, leaving the jaw alone. He then filed the nails so that they were equal length.

He examined the order. Ivan wanted a specific eye color for each and hair style. He stirred up some hair dye for each of them, replacing the blonde's hair with white and the brunette's with black. He added a black streak to the feminine neko and a white to the more muscular neko, then cut and styled them to short with one's more to the side and the others in the opposite direction. After the hair was colored, he parted each of their eyelids and exposed the corneas to a solution that would change the eye color and he taped the eyelids shut.

He saw images of his former life fading away in front of him as he struggled to do anything.

Wulfric walked away from the two for a moment to replace his gloves, then walked over to the white-haired neko. He read on his file that the former blonde had a form of asthma and he needed to correct that problem.

He first pierced the flesh and tissue, then used a bone saw to open the chest bone and used a separator to expose the inner organs. He then injected a repairing genetic engineering agent into the airway to repair anything causing the attacks, from the nasal cavity to the lungs. After clothing those openings, he was satisfied with the procedures and would have Ivan come see them in the morning, but first, one last filing.

He opened the flesh of the foreheads and began filing them to a perfectly round shape and made the necessary adjustments to hairlines if needed. With that done, he placed them both in the recovery chambers, still on a sleep inducing agent and life support, and left the lab for the night.

One image remained in front of him. It was a woman, but he couldn't remember who she was. It was an older woman, but she was slowly becoming more and more fuzzy.

Wulfric returned to the lab in the morning, humming to himself softly as he overlooked another order on his way down the aisle as his coworkers quietly examined each specimen kept in preserve while he made his way to the recovery chamber. Ivan would be coming to see his work. He reminded the businessman that recovery is something he never messes around with, meaning he never uses an enhancement agent of any kind nor any catalyst that would speed up the process any. Patience is one of Wulfric's favored traits.

While waiting, he pulled out the skin he'd taken from the black-haired neko last night that he had preserved and decided to start on forming a skin graft from the skin even though it was tainted with the tattoo. The ink wouldn't be on the new flesh, though, so all he would have to do would be to stitch it right over the exposed flesh. That reminded him. Once the skin graft was prepared and ready to grow on it's own, he made his way over to the nekos and began examining their coverings and bandages just as a safety and sanitary precaution to make sure the wounds were indeed beginning to show signs of healing.

Finding nothing wrong, the German doctor left the bandages alone and busied himself with switching out their IV bags with fresh ones. He would need to feed them soon.

The image had now faded completely and for the first time Licht felt completely alone.
