His world, surrounded by darkness, not seeing a thing in front of him. So quiet, that you could drop a pin and still it will not make a sound. This is what the young lad wanted, but soon he hears a sound, it was settle, but there. But it became louder and louder. It was a beeping sound, in a study pattern. He wishes it to go away, but it was just to loud for him. A flash of light came out of no where and gasped him to gasp.

His eyes opened slowly and and his vision was blurry at first, but it becomes clear and the first thing he sees is a white ceiling. At first he thought he was in heaven, but then again even though he was not a bad person, they wouldn't want him. He felt so weak, tired and sore. He manages to turn his head and sees from the machines around him and the teal gown he was wearing, he was in a hospital. "How-How did I end up here?" he asked himself in a raspy voice. Then he remembers it all.

He just recently bought a really sharp kitchen knife. He was going to end his life. He could no longer take the world and believed that he was nothing but a waste of space and air. He thought he was doing the world a favor by ridding himself. He goes into an alley way and cut himself so many times and deep. He blacked out. What he didn't know that it was trash day for the dumpster he put himself in and someone saw him and called for an ambulance.

As he sighs sadly, he looks at the wristband that was attached to him. It had his name on it, Mason Stone. His age, 16. His reason here, attempted suicide. He sighs and looks up at the ceiling again. He was on the skinny side, clearly no been eating three meals a day. He had black hair in a emo haircut style. With his bangs covering the right side of his face. Only showing off one of his purple color eyes. Wondering how long he will be here for. Does anyone know he was here or was he already forgotten by the hospital staff?

Footsteps echoed near the boy. The sound of rubber soles on tile floor. Faint at first, as they were out in the hall. Then louder... And louder... Until they stopped. It was quiet a moment, before the door opened. The footsteps resumed, and Mason became keenly aware he wasn't alone.

Rustling papers could be heard, before he finally saw the new person. Naturally gray hair, all a mess on his head. Matching grey eyes behind glasses. Tall, and on the thin side... A handsome man, at least twelve years his senior. He looked at him with a soft, kind expression.

"Finally awake, young man?" he asked, keeping his voice quiet. He knew the boy's head was probably pounding. "You were in terrible condition when we got you. Had to patch you up. Give you blood, and an IV." he explained, gently resting a hand against his forehead, to see if he was overly warm. "Do you need something for your head?"

He heard the footsteps and though nothing of them. Just people walking by the room going to where ever they are going. Not caring what was behind the door that lead to his room. He was okay with that, he knew that he was alone, he had always been alone. Nothing will change that. He is alone at home, alone at school and had no place to go. Just as he though the footsteps would continue on, it stopped and it sounded like right in front of his door. Most likely just tying their shoes, but to his surprise the door opens and comes in a male doctor.

He look at the doctor as he walks further in. He was most interested in his gray hair. Most people don't pull it off, but he certainly can. Though it was hard to really focus for he was still feeling a bit off. His head hurt, he felt a little sick in the stomach and his throat hurt to. When asked if he was finally awake, he just simply nod his head. Watching him walk closer to him. Telling him that he was in a rough state when found and brought in. If he had enough blood, his cheek with turn pink from feeling his hand on his forehead. Which was actually on the cool side since he did loose a lot of blood.

The doctor then asked him if he needed anything for his head and again nods his head. But he did it a little to roughly and groans for his head was throbbing more. At least the room was not to bright for that would make things worse. It was a cloudy day so there was not so much sunlight and the lamp was giving off a dim light in the room.

"How long do I need to stay here for?" he asked and lets out a soft cough. For his throat felt so dry it was hard to talk.

The doctor, Micah Jameson, stepped over to a counter, and rustled through his bag. When he found what he was looking for, he returned to Mason's side. He offered him a pair of pills, and a bottle of cold water.

"Headache relief. Will take some of the edge off the aches and pains, too. Cold water will help, too." he explained, before he furrowed his brow a little.

"You'll stay here until you're in stable physical condition. Healed up. And... Until we can be certain you won't try this again. Cutting yourself that deeply... It's honestly a miracle we were able to help you in time."

He manages to lift up his hand and take the pills from the doc. As he did this, he manages to get a look of his arm and sees the stitch work the hospital did for his cuts. He remembers cutting himself four times into each arm and watch the blood flow out like a river. He pops the pills in and gulped down the water. It felt so good on his sore throat, tot he point that it was clearing up. He just have to wait for the pills to take care of everything else.

As he laid there he listens to Mich tell him that he will stay here until he stable both with his body and mind. For it was actually a miracle that he was found just in time to be saved and it short of was. while he was still very pale, he came in looking gray and lifeless. "I promise I won't do anything like this again. " he tells him, but he was planning on doing so the next chance he had. Wither it be here or when he is release.

Micah looked at him a moment, hiding the fact that he didn't truly believe his words. They had the boy under watch, in case he tried something...

Reaching down, he ran his finger across the stitched up markings very softly, looking at his face.

"Mason, these will be scarred. Long after the stitches come out. You're a handsome young man... Harming yourself like this is a terrible waste of your life. Everybody has potential."

The stitches were still a little sore so when the doc touched then, he whimpers a little. Then he felt him looking him right int he eyes, which made him feel a little uneasy. Listening to him as he tells him that they will scar long after the stitches were out. Calling him handsome and that everyone has potential in this world.

A small smile appeared on his face, and then chuckles. "Not me." he tells him. "I am nothing more then a skin sack of unworthiness. Someone more important and with meaning deserve this bed then me. Even the cold title floors are to good for me." he said.

Micah frowned softly, and sighed. "You are mistaken, young man." he said simply, standing up.

"Everybody has a purpose. Yours is most certainly not going to be achieved through suicide." he said, as he headed for the door. "Get some sleep. You need to recuperate. Your body went through a lot. The loss of blood sent you into shock."

Even if he tells him all of that, he was not going to believe him. He is just saying that because he had to be nice to him. If you treat a patient badly then the doctor will get a bad rep and loose a high paying job. As he heads for the door, he tells him that he should get some rest for he has been through a lot today. He was still feeling pretty tired and so he does as he was told and shuts his eyes and fell asleep pretty fast.

He slept through the night and most of the morning. It wasn't until a nurse came in and forced him awake. Making him groan as the nurse goes over to check over him. Mostly seeing if the stitches were still in one piece and not infected. He was gaining a little color in his face and the nurse said he was recovering very nicely. Though he was not really listening to her. Just then another doctor came into the room to get the nurse for she was needed and she goes with him. What they didn't know is the doctor dropped a scalpel that was in his pocket.

Before anyone noticed he grabs it and brought it with him into the room. He sat on top of his bed and looks at it. He flashes back to the night where he tried this before and realized his mistake. "I don't need a lot, I just need one weak spot." he said to himself. With that he takes the very sharp blade to his throat. He knew that if he were to cut his throat, there was no saving him. "Good-bye...nobody."

Thankfully, the camera was rolling. Before Mason even got a chance, the door reopened. And standing there was... Micah.

"Put it down, Mason." were the first words to come out. Not harsh, not overly loud. A gentle command from the doctor. "Please." he said, and slowly stepped closer. The man was clearly worried about him. Holding his hand out to him, he beckoned for it. "Trust me. Please."
