"Maybe me..", said Chris grimly. "We went home in the car when I saw him kicking the dog. He shouted something and when I tried to stop him he attacked me saying it's his dog and his business. He kicked it once more as if to show me he can do what he wants.. Then.. I attacked him."
When he said that he realized that he behaved like a lunatic and probably was in big trouble.

The officer nodded while the other took down what he said and looked at Nick. "Well?"

"I didn't see much, he just jumped out of the car and I had to tackle him off the guy, but my friend means well and the dog is in pretty bad shape," Nick answered honestly and took the one officer to the dog as animal control rolled up.

"Hey, my partner and I are going to take two of them to the station and I leave the dog to you. Call us when you tell find out how bad the dog was hurt?"

"Sure thing, Mark. I will have Jen call the station, but I am telling you right now. It's not good," said the female that checked on the dog as her and her partner gingerly got the dog inside of the vehicle.

"Okay Shawn. We need to cuff them and read them their rights and make sure that guy is awake too," said the officer named Mark and walked over to Chris as he read him his rights and placed him into the car. "You there, we will call you when you can pick up your friend. He might be in trouble, but if the other guy doesn't press charges, then he will be free to go."

Taking Chris and the other man, the officers puts them in the back of the police and drives off as the animal control leaves as well. With a small crowd showing up, Nick gets in and drives home to put away the groceries and waits for the phone call.

Chris calmly followed the police officers. It was his first time being on the police station. He could be reckless sometimes but never had troubles with the law. That talk about charges was nothing as he thought about that poor animal. Even if he had to pay for what he have done it would be ok.

After a couple of hours of questioning and whatnot, the police told Chris that he was free to go. The man wasn't going to press any charges and he was going to get fined and some jail time though for what he did to his pet dog. When asked, they told him that it was pretty bad and didn't go any further than that.

He didn't call Nick when they let him go. He was a little ashamed and also thought that he already gave him enough problems as it was. It took him about fifty minutes to get home and also some time for him to deal with his thoughts. Remembering he didn't take the keys he pressed a doorbell.

When he heard the doorbell, Nick answered it and was surprised to see Chris. "When did they let you go? And why didn't you call me?"

"Hi. It's nice to see you too", he said walking in.
He took off his shoes and only then looked at Nick, blushing slightly.
"Today you had enough problems because of me so I just walked home.. It took only about an hour."

Nick crossed his arms and shook his head before walking into the kitchen to finish prepping for dinner. On the counter he has bell peppers that were stuffed with ground beef and rice. In a large bowl was a tomato sauce mixture with various Italian spices near it as he began to open them up and shake into the sauce.

"Are you going to get charged or fined?" He finally asks with his back turned to Chris and begins to place the stuffed peppers in a pan and preheated the oven to 370.

"Uhm.. No. The man isn't going to press any charges..", he said as he sat down before table, rubbing his forehead. "Nick.. I'm really sorry about all that mess.."
He looked on his hands as he clenched them tightly.
"I will understand if you don't want to be friends with a lunatic like me.. because I can't even promise it won't happen again.."

Sighing heavily, Nick turns around and leans against the counter. "You know you sound like you are in grade school when you say something like that. Also it's fine. I will just make sure to add child locks to the door so you can't just hop out unless you want to try and crawl out the window," he smirked and turned back to finishing up the food to put in the oven when it was finished preheating. "Oh and I'm glad that you are not being charged. It will be such a hassle to find another roommate," he said in a joking manner and waited.
