Alright so its come to the Moderation teams attention that there is some question about some artwork uploaded to YaoiAi.
Mainly artwork by Residential Artist's that have been uploaded by a fan or someone who found it on another site.
First off the when it comes to a fan uploading a Resident Artist's artwork we ask that you Ask the Artist to upload it themselves first,if they say no,then ask them if you can instead. However if a artist has been inactive for several months,it is generally safe to upload and the mods will deal with any problems that arise when and if the artist returns. A fan who uploads a users artwork without doing this will not be banned....ever. The only exception to the rule is if the person uploads it even after being told no.
Now because YaoiAi is not hosted in the US,we are not bound by the DMCA however if a artist does request their artwork to be removed when uploaded by someone other then themselves then we happily oblige, HOWEVER another member who claims to know said artist can not ask us to remove the artwork. It will only be removed when and if the artist themselves makes contact with a Moderator asking for it to be removed.
Copyright is tricky on a site like this,but to keep it simple,if you draw Naruto and Sasuke having sex,that does not give you the copyright to that image,it still belongs to Masashi Kishimoto. So don't come and yell at the Mods about copyrights unless the characters in the picture are yours and yours alone.
Lastly we love our Artist's we really do,but we are NOT your personal punching bags or your Slaves,now if you have a problem come to us in a civilized manner and we will try and help you to the best of out abilities however coming to us and yelling "BAN HIM NAO OR ELSE" will only make us less willing to help because we won't ban a user unless they break the rules of the site,plain and simple.
We aren't perfect and we will miss things,if you point it out in a civilized manner then we will fix if it needs to be.
