Boku no Neko (private for Myself and BadMonster)

Summer time is here. The sun shining down - the birds chirping - winds howling so softy, it was a Thursday Afternoon at a local private All Boys school. The School day had just ended as the boys leave the main school, in group of two with friends. Checking his Surrounding, a young neko boy gives a faint sigh in reveal moving his little purple bangs away - Kazumi Hamano, only 17 years old; lives with his mom just two blocks away from the park.

Though he's different from the other guys and boys; slender, not that thin body and a smooth figure makes him am easy target for pervert boys mistaking him for a girl. Kazumi phones his mom saying he'll be coming home a little late just gonna stay at the park for awhile before heading there. "Please don't be worry, Mom. I'll be fine... Mhm... yes... okay then I love you too.. Bye" ending his call with a light sigh then heading towards the park.

About 20 minutes he finally made it viewing the nature. Ears perk up hearing kids playing on the swings set and slides, couples on the bench very close to each other, an old lady feeding some pigeons - takes step by step admiring everything so peace then stops at a small grassy hill, Kazumi sets his school bag down then baskets under the clear blue sky.

Grant Whitfield rest his head on his palm as he look out the window. The day was too gorgeous to pass up. It was a beautiful Summer day with a nice breeze and musical birds flying around. Grant sighed and brought his attention back to the college professor. Hurry up! Grant thought. This guy takes forever! The bell rang and Grant quickly rushed out of the campus.

Grant squinted his blue eyes at the sudden brightness of the sun. He blinked a few times than ran his fingers through his silky brown hair in thought. "What should I do today?" He whispered to himself. He decided to take a shortcut through the park. No way was he going to waste this lovely day.

He shoved his hands in his pockets as he slowly walked through the park. Watching the couples laugh and hug each other made him feel empty inside. Though he lives alone, he receives letters from his Mother asking him why a 19 year old young man is not in a relationship yet. Grant had became so annoyed with those letters, he stopped writing his Mother back.

Now wasn't the day to think such thoughts. It was to nice out to be depress. He continued walking until he spotted a grassy hill. Might as well just lay in the grass and relax. He started up the hill than stopped suddenly. A blush appeared on his face as he stared down at the cute girl laying down. "Umm. Sorry Miss!" No! Don't leave! A voice inside screamed. Talk to her. Grant inhaled, "Mind if I sit with you?" I hope I don't come off saying stupid, he thought to himself.

Opening his eyes slowly rubbing them to clear the vision only to jump up in surprise that his ears and tail stood up in shock. an older boy who's like a few years old than Kuzumi himself placing a hand on chest sighing in reveal Phew! I thought I was in trouble... snapping back to reality when the brown haired ask to sit next to him. "O-oh? yeah, go ahead.." replying back in a soft tone trying not to blush just scooting an inch for him to sit.

This is a first that anyone even a boy ask to sit next to - at least it was a surprise grope or someone pulling on his tail teasing. Come on.. at least ask him if he goes to the same school as you swaying his tail back then glances at the older boy "Um... are you in high school like me? I've never seen your face on campus either... I-I'm sorry! That came out stupid...!" groans in embrassment looking away at the small lake surrounded by a small group ducks and geese.

"I'm not that good with conventions..." he mutters softy but enough for older boy to hear.

Grant blinked in surprise when he saw the tail and ears pop up! Oh! He's a neko! How adorable. He thought to himself. "Thank you!" Grant sat down just an hand length away from the cute neko. He didn't want to make his staring obvious, so Grant strained his eyes to look at the cutie. Hmmm. He's a boy, not a girl. Doesn't matter, still adorable just the same.

The question the boy asked gave Grant a chance to really look at him. He couldn't help the smile that appeared on his lips. "No. I already graduated from high school. I'm actually a sophomore in college." Grant let out a laugh. "No worries! That did not come out sounding stupid at all." Grant lifted his hand to pat the neko boy but quickly put his hand back on the grass. He didn't want to come on too strong.

"I'm not great with conversions either, but I'm sure we can find something to talk about. Oh! I know!" Grant held out his hand. "I'm Grant Whitfield. Pleasure to meet you!"

After hearing that he's a sophomore in college showing a gentle smile and telling his name too, Kuzumi reaches out slowly taking his hand firmly "I'm Kuzumi Hamano um... call me Kuzumi." saying softly before moving his hand away - almost noticing Grant lifting his arm to pat, he give away a faint blush that's visible to see, tail just curling up and ears going down with embarrassment yet so cute.

"F-for me, I'm still in high school. This is my first year going to second.. I'm ...kinda new here because... my dad left us when i was only 10 and we was living in hell after that." he frowns then continues "At my old school I didn't fit well since I'm a neko. Girls kept petting me Guys kept pulling on my tail. I-I couldn't take the damn frustration! so... we moved here." making a sudden in anger yet heartbroken but calms down after. "Now, I go to an all boys school here and it's still a little hard for me, guys keep toying with my tail playfully.. I-I get groped from behind from time to time. Only a few boys talk to me just not in a decent convention."

Eyes become teary showing how much Kuzumi had a tough childhood but tries not to cry in front of Grant "I-I'm sorry... I just know you like 3 seconds and i'm already being emotionally.." sniffing lightly.

"Kuzumi? Now that's a very cute name," Grant replied with a smile. Of course, Grant thought, a cute name for a cute boy.

Hearing Kuzumi talk about his painful past sadden Grant. He wanted to embrace him, but decided not too. If he did, he would be no better than the boys Kuzumi talked about. Grant's life was pretty normal, also he was a human, not a neko. So he couldn't relate to Kuzumi's feelings. Grant sighed to himself. He must find a way to cheer this little guy up.

He placed his hand upon Kuzumi's shoulder. "It's okay. I'm glad you confide in me. It shows that you trust me, even if you only knew me for three seconds." Grant let out an laugh. "Hey! I have an idea. How about we go get ice cream together?" Grant stood up, brushing grass off his pants. He held out a hand to Kuzumi and smiled kindly.

"T-thanks." a tainted bright red blush went across his face when Grant compliment on how cute Kuzumi's name is.

Sniffing still trying to calm relax after a few tears down went down his face, his tail comes from be-hide using it's tip to clean off the tears with a sigh. Even though he knows that Grant didn't have this kind of life being a human other wise he'll felt the same way but felt scared and alone. Kuzumi felt a hand on his shoulder, listening to him and that hearty laugh His laugh... blushing yet again.

Kuzumi watches as Grant got up dusting his pants then holding his hand for Kuzumi to get ice cream together. "I-Ice cream.. together..? O-okay!" nodding taking Grant's hand with a soft firm grip getting off the grass dusting himself just like Grant - not forgetting his school bag as his ears perk up with slight happiness swaying his tail left and right. "I'm ready, Grant. Let's go." he said.

Grant was overjoyed that Kuzumi accepted his offer. This is great! Grant smiled to himself. Grant became aware of something warm in his hand. He looked down and realize that he still held on to Kuzumi's hand. He quickly let go. I don't want Kuzumi to think I'm some pervert. Now, what to talk about? Grant tilted his head in thought. Oh! I know.

"Let me carry that for you, Kuzumi." Grant reached over and took the school bag from his new friend. Okay. That wasn't a conversion at all! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! "Um. Kuzumi. What flavor of ice cream do you like? I like strawberry and chocolate." That conversion seems okay.

Titling his head to the side letting out a cute giggle with a blush still His hand was very warm yet soft.. smiling at the thought putting his hand onto his cheek eyes closed I just met him, why am I blush on and on like this... maybe being him I feel safe...heh..

"Hm? Oh! Thank you... You're so sweet, Grant." a warm smile quickly grabbing his arm nuzzling against but then unwraps Grant's arm in a nervous state Good job on that.. Idiot.. When Grant ask what favor ice cream he want, Kuzumi's tail started to sway a little fast "Really?! Strawberry and Chocolate are mine favorite too! Let's go now!" replying back as his smile very so big, dragging Grant to the ice cream cart - a little fang shows on the left side of his teeth.

Grant blushed brightly. He said I'm sweet! His heart skipped a beat when Kuzumi nuzzled against his arm. So adorable! Grant thought as he looked down at Kuzumi. Nekos must do that when they're happy. Grant smiled to himself. Then Kuzumi must be happy being around me!

Grant blinked. "No way! That's your favorite too?" Suddenly Grant was being pulled by Kuzumi. "Whoa! Where's the fire?" Grant joked. Grant started laughing as he ran along. He was having a fun time with the neko Kuzumi.

Luckily there was no line at the ice cream cart. Grant ordered two strawberry and chocolate swirl ice cream cones. He handed the ice cream to Kuzumi. "Here you go!"
