Kane sighed "let's." he was still frustrated about his parents. Why had they sidedly come? And especially when Josh was there. Those bitches don't even deserve to come back here, he thought. He hugged Josh tighter and sat there.

Josh swayed slowly in Kane's arms, trying to get warm again. He rubbed the older boy's back as if comforting a crying infant. Rearing his head back, he looked into Kane's blue eyes and stroked the side of his neck "You're not a waste of space" he said, smiling at Kane sincerely.

Josh kissed Kane back, happy to have cheered him up somewhat. He shivered and looked at his watch "Urgh, Kane... It's 3am" he whined "C'mon, we'll freeze to death out here if we don't get moving soon, my place is only round the corner" he urged, holding Kane's hands and pulling.

Kane sighed and go up "alright then let's go" he followed Josh, trying to take his mind off those creatures in his house. They don't even have brains, he thought, all those drugs and alcohol killed it, or it just rotted because they don't use it.

Josh walked silently along, leaving Kane alone with his thoughts, hoping that he'd eventually file them away at the back of his mind. He stroked Kane's hand as he held on, reminding him that he was there for him.

And then they reached Joshua's house; a semi-detached 2 bedroom house with barrent winter bushes out front. He froze momentarily, unsure of whether he wanted to go in or not and whether he would be able to answer the inevitable questions Kane would ask about his parents' absence.

He sighed and walked up the path, slotting the key in the door and opening it quietly to let them both in. Josh closed the door and turned to Kane, hugging him for warmth.

Kane walked up Joshs house with a raised eyebrow, semi-detached? He got into the house and was suddenly hugged by Josh "tch, your just cold" but nevertheless he hugged Josh back. "is anyone here with us?" Kane let go of Josh and wandered around the house "no parents?" he expected both of Joshs parents to be here. He didn't know why but he expected it "where are they?"

Josh shook his head in disappointment "Well..." he began "My Dad's on a business trip - that's what he told me atleast - but I know exactly where he is... He's at his mistress's house with her kids because they're more important than me" Josh's voice began to quiver and weaken "A-and my Mum left when she found out and now she's too busy living her life to spend time with me

He wiped his eye with his sleeve and apologised, laughing at how he had grown upset.
