Well, I am fan of BDSM, so I like it hard way (e. g. torturing muscular man is my dream). But death or permanent consequences? With a few exceptions no.

I think "agree with" is an odd way to put it. I don't disagree with anything being in yaoi because I figure what somebody puts in a story is up to them, whether or not I "agree" with it doesn't matter. Also, I do have a weak spot for gore, so of course I don't disagree. Overall I like the gore and stuff just as much as I like the fluff. Without it, I think the medium would be imbalanced with all fluff all the time.

Why pollute works as well?
I do not agree with any of them. Why when there is already violence, why aggravate others by promoting violence in comics, mangas ans more?
Violence turns the world ugly and we all should heed that.
Ukes may say 'rape me' and stuff but inside they are feeling bad about it and/or may still be suffering from a tragedy of their past. Is it some joke to promote ideas of rape in works? I think not.

It doesn't turn me on but there is a place for dark storytelling.

Tragedies are oddly appealing, a bit of violence is okay, but too gory and I think it just crosses the line for me.

I don't like the blood and the violence in real life, but in Yaoi, the violence has sometimes a place, for exemple in BDSM. But this must be tagged, cause that's only for an advised public.
That's my point of view, and sorry for my very very bad english! xD

it's quite confusing what the question is trying to point out but okay, here's what i understood and from reading the responses from everyone else.
though i'm not really a fan around the things mentioned, i don't see why not. they're still fiction to me and as long as it's not done in real life. some people enjoy certain specific subgenres; to each of our own. like also a few here said, it's the author's artistic way and imagination to create.
PS. i'm not really sure if i make sense so i apologize. lol

Eh, I dunno. Life isn't all roses and not having violence or tragedy or whatever in whatever story you're trying to tell might feel sorta empty? But that's just me. If having something happen that hits your reader/viewer in the gut is what you feel is necessary to drive your art/comic forward, then so be it. But violence/gore/tragedy just for violence/gore/tragedy's sake feels cheap - make it MEAN something and be integral to a character's growth and development so it doesn't come across as hollow.

Exactly, you cannot have all the goody things and don't expect bad things to not to happen.
