Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on Yaoi Ai:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 2 or more posts who has been a member over a week) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 30 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

It was pretty uneventful when my brother found my "Love Is Like A Hurricane" manga. We did warn eachother about where we keep our stuff hidden. Being male, it would have been humilating had he found something like "Only The Ring Finger Knows" or "Desire".

No, can't say I've been caught watching it, but that's mostly because I never wanted to hear my little brothers whine about having walked in on it.
I've taken perverse pleasure in hanging some Yaoi art on my walls though. Particularly one of Rufus Shinra and a handcuffed Reno of the Turks (final fantasy VII) going at it, as well as one of P.L. Nunn's pieces. Little brothers would roll their eyes and shake their heads after the shock factor had worn off. Baby brother pops off with some amusing comments every now and then though, when he sees my laptop background.
First time a boyfriend (female myself) came over for the night and saw the framed art, he kinda paused, was like "Two guys?" After a very obvious and amused "Yeah" from me, he shrugged it off and never brought it up again.

I have never been caught but my family is so open I tell them about how much I love yaoi, I also share photo's with my BFF who's a fan too. (I myself am female as well!) And I have a poster on my wall of Taiga and Karuko from Karuko No Basuke on my wall, my sister questioned it and bugs me about it but no one minds my yaoi obsession

Nope, never been caught watching Yaoi, i am careful, but don't think it would be a problem.
The people in my life know I read M/M fiction, even write it (when I have the time) and I own the Artifice graphic novel by Alex Woolfson which i lent to my best mate so don't think it would be too much of an issue.
Unless they saw my tentacle obsession ,that might raise a few eyebrows lol |
