Joel shifted his weight to his right leg and crossed his arms over his chest, looking down at Adam and pondering his question for a moment as he stood beside the small wooded home.
"We have fifteen wolves. More wolves than clan members, although a few are now what we call 'strays'. When their owner dies and they're left without a master, the wolf will stray into the forest and stick close by. Although thankfully we still take care of them, they just don't really listen to us."
Joel ran his fingers through the soft fur of Accalia who stood beside him, her eyes fixated on Adam.

"If you see a wolf, any wolf. Don't touch it. They attack anyone who isn't a part of our clan." Looking at the door, Joel slowly opened it and nodded his head. "Come inside then."

Taking a step inside, Joel stopped at the doorway and grabbed a mask, slipping it over his nose and mouth and handing one over to Adam. "Put this on. Just in case." He suggested, his voice a little muffled by the object obstructing it.
Walking into the room, Joel glanced back at the medic as he stood in the middle of the small home, it was pretty barren other than the eight beds that lined the walls. Four of them had people laying upon them, one who seemed rather elderly, and the other three were all under the age of 10.
"These are the only ones who have survived this long. And yet they're succumbing to whatever this sickness is no matter how hard they fight it. We have to figure out how it's spread first." Joel stated as he kept his eye on Adam. "Either it's airborne, or transmitted through bodily fluid."

Adam thought it was almost sweet how Joel and his pack members try to take care of stray wolves, with his clan they don't have really any stray leopards, it's not really common of Fang's kind, Adam found Fang when he was just a cub, he was sick and he felt really bad for him so he took him in without warning his alpha first.

"Sounds good." Adam replied softly before looking at Joel and the mask he gave him, "Is it really that bad?" He asked curiously as he put the mask on as he followed the alpha, the place which the sick people lived in looked really bad, he could feel his heart breaking a little for the sick kids who are so young, "just when you thought you seen enough, it really surprises you." he muffled softly, his words were not clearly heard due to the mask.

Adam heard Joel but his eyes were fixated on the sick people, they seemed to be in really bad shape, sweating and also shaking, coughing a lot, "Do they puke a lot?" he asked as he took out his stethoscope.
